  2. I would assume it would be an uncoded design since the brief states the following:

    "Must be multi-layered in Photoshop for easy conversion to CSS".

    But I could be wrong. Hopefully it is an uncoded design contest.

    @DataSolutions, would you consider any other form of payment (paypal, electronic transfer, etc.) besides just credit card?

  3. You are correct it is uncoded and we will be posting a link to all logos in eps format very shortly...we can do Paypal as well as credit card, 99 only offers us a single choice sorry about that folks...

  6. So are you look for a design for each wireframe design (home page, main page, secondary page etc.) or a design for each individual page based on the architecture?

  7. We want a design for each page type, not each page of the wire frame, so in the start concentrate on a look and feel, once we say we are interested, we can start the critique and you could build the other pages based on that look and feel...

  10. @delaney - if you are using Fireworks CS3, and use nicely named layers etc., you can save the file as a png and then also as a psd. The layers work just as well in Photoshop as they do in FWs.... I always supply both a png and psd for any contests I win and have had no problems with people who ony use Photoshop :-)

  16. So a lot of poeple have submitted kind of combination desgins. In other words a Home page and product page combined. Thats fine for now. What I will do on Thursday is disqualify those of you that have not made a design that didn't get a three star or b etter rating, and ask for a particular page (IE: a home page or support page). The winner of this contest will have to do desgins for 6 disticnt pages: Home, About Us, Products, A Product, Support, Purchase and FAQ. If you would not like to do that let me know after Thursday if you are in the finalist. All of these are good, but we are looking for someone that can take us beyond where we are now, not just what re have redone.

  20. I think my latest design is lets say unique. Very different from the rest and i just hope the contest holder actually like the theme and colour choice. I personally love it. BTw the white are rollover/hover button effects. Aslo This is my last enrty. I will not enter any more as i see my other entrys as quality designs. If however the Contest Holder requests another page then i will gladly do so.

  24. So I went through yesterday with the team and this morning and eliminated anything that was not on the right track at this point. It does mean we will not take new designs, but we wanted to narrow the field so we could see where we were. Everything has been great designs, the remaining designs were just closer to our vision for look and feel. At this point we would like to see a desing for a single product page. What we want to see on the single product page is the navigation that allows you to get back to any of the main sections, an area that highlights the product featured, navigation to buy, demo, screencast, etc...navigation to the FAQ and Support for that product. This would be the page zfor DataSync that a customer is led to after hitting a landing page of some sort. Today the product page for DataSynch looks like this:

    We would want to new one to adopt the look and feel of your design and follow the architecture in the wireframe..good luck we have one day left.

    Also if you are a finalist and you are not willing to do the work for the six pages I described earlier please let me know now, I would hate for you to win then say, "Oh, I did not know there six pages to design"...

Guys we will take entries, but please look at what we are keeping, we have knid of started to go in a general direction, I am sorry that you have been working on something, but the contest does run out in less than a day, I am trying to be fair and get you all pointed towards our desired direction...IOW it was a typo, and I apologize...no spell check on this damn thing and I am terrible at proofing...ask my team!
