Brief Summary

I’m looking for something clean, compact, and that represents the past and future. Photography is about landscapes, people, plants and animals, but more importantly, it is about catching a moment. I would like something that represents all these things without all of them actually being part of the logo. The colors should natural ones, not to bright, nor dull. It should look good on a neural or dark gray background, and be complex enough to make a statement, but not so busy our potential customers think we’re crazy.

Description
My wife and I are professional photographers that have only been in business for about 1 year. Our business is growing, and even though the majority of our work is corporate, we plan on doing social, travel, and wildlife contracts in the future so our logo needs to represent us as professional photographers, but can’t shoehorn us into a particular genre. Capturing light is the premise of photography, but I’m not sure how to represent that in a logo without looking like we just copied someone else’s design.
