A few more variations.
I have included two versions which are without the tagline.
I believe the bottom design is the strongest, it is not the 'usual' kind of layout for the typography in the logo design. I have also improved the actual logo by adding a shadow to emphasise its importance .
These colours I have used also speak professional, the deep blue and the bold orange depict a company of this particular work.
Feedback is much appreciated.

Another design concept. A logo which would work on its own (better than the first design).
Both the D and the S are clearly legible whislt connected to each other. It contains the properties that you are looking for, it has a classic approach but with a modern twist with the the colouring and layout. I have stayed clear of the purple as I believe the blue and orange bind much better together.
I have included a version without the three specialities to see which is prefered.

Three different variations. I have used two typefaces here which I believe compliment the classy and modern design you are looking for.
