I would like it to be crisp and clean, very professional, can be some what "green" but not the whole entire logo in green.

    1. Designs with gradients and shine will not print well, FYI to the contest holder.
      An example of such is #10 and #24

    3. CtotheA, seems like you have an experience dealing with bad printing companies ;)
      Mine though is different, the quality of any print depends on paper texture, thickness and technology.

    5. gogogadget, adjust your brief to read that you want VECTOR format along with raster images from Photoshop. You can still have gradients AND web images but you will also be able to make your logo scalable to fit anywhere. Most printshops require vector format.

    6. Yes, that nice reflection you see there now with not come up. I noticed it too. LOL
      Web 2.0 looks with gradient and relections are more suit for web only.
      Know what I mean?
      I'm not trying to be a "contest ruin-ER" lol but I had this problem with a client of mine off of this site, he was really disappointed he couldn't print his logo to look as good as online. I lost him because of it. :(

      Umm no, the client had the problem- he said the gloss and reflection didn't come out half as good as it looks on the web.
      He has his only print studio.

    11. CtotheA, the gradients will work just fine when printed. You can either go 2 ways. Four color process printing which is VERY expensive but you would get the results. Or, under vector, you can use different shades of the same green or blue color. It would be under the category of 1, 2 or 3 spot color printing.

    18. Interesting cybermoose, however I was tooting no horn, only implying that she might not know exactly what she is talking about. I have also noticed many people who have been members for only a week or so and they have won several contests. Maybe it is only hard to win contests if you are not a very talented designer? And if you are truly talented then chances are you probably wouldn't have to take from anyone's design... Copying someone else's work only shows your lack of talent and imagination...
