    Dz-Design: Having Arabic words (along with English of course) can be a plus. Although I do think there is an obstacle that needs overcoming: Making the Arabic and English fonts compatible.

    Hi everyone, this is a very interesting contest, and i have to agree with kroz, people are now realizing how much designs are really worth in 99designs. However, i would suggest to the CH to do the same thing as Destiny contest holder did, he wired transfer the prize money to 99designs and 99designs would be the one to award it to the winner. That way, both the designers and the CH are protected. And you just have to look at how much the entries have gone since the CH did that.

    Just a suggestion, though.

    Both of diarma's logos that you are referring to look NOTHING alike. The color may be similar but that's about it. geez.

    Novo read exactly what was on my mind. 99designs' move on the "Destiny" design contest was brilliant. That way, everyone is secured. I just hope Omiron is willing to do the same. But if you ask me, there's no reason you can't trust the 99designs administrators.

    Either way, my hat's off to Omiron for offering this much for their logo. Because of this, I find it impossible for Tilal not to find its perfect logo.

    novo, kroz: As far as I can tell, the staff at 99Designs were the ones to ask to hold the prize. As for myself, I am more than happy to do the same if and when asked. Either way, don't forget that Tilal is also in need of stationary design (along with other things) for another payout of $1,500 (see brief). So I really can't see how any designer here can be at risk.

    Moreover, we already think some of the designs in this contest have surpassed our expectations, so a winner will be chosen if everything keeps running smoothly.

    @chunli500: Please forgive me but I can't give a design 5-stars if it is being used in another concept. I would rather use free clipart than paying someone for a repeated design.

    yeah you have that color codes with you, but still they look "very similar" in every person's eye. i think trice before posting in every forum also i didn't say that your design is a copy from mine just the colors. and you should think twice before entering similar concept/colors as your consideration to the one who used it first.

    i think we have to be confident with our works. sometimes it has to be over confident. i mean that, we can let anyone storm their brain (it usually called brainstorming) freely by watching our works. we have to realize that in this forum, everyone can see or even analyze it throughly. so, i think we must have a strong basic concept before we designing.

    concept is the main aspect on designing, i guess. keep it guys.

    @nejikun: i think you just not confident with yours. u just too afraid for being lost, i guess. but, let me say that u won't do like this, if u have a strong basic concept on your shape/position/ and the language of the composition.

    hmm, can you tell me about the same red colors which are used on previous entries? (not yours of course) are those copying too?

    your first 4 stars entry #216 is using 3 (three) lines. and #254 is suddenly using 4 (four) lines.
    where does that come from? is it purely from your perfect imagination?

    cause I just remember saying something when I first submitting my first entry:

    my color concept. why I choose blue? (besides other colors I submit)
    1. it symbolizes trust, elegant, and it suits well for investment company to gain customers' trust.
    2. there are different variations of blue on the circle, it symbolizes 4 companies working together as one without any differentiation on their rights and duties. no company is on top of each other, cause they are running in a circle without an edge.

    that's my original concept. I'm not saying my design is great. I only want to say that behind all of my designs, there are always philosophy and concept behind them. and that what makes a logo becomes so expensive.

    By the way, re 're-cycling designs'...its allowed here as far as I know. If a designer owns their work/idea, then they get to decide what to do with it if its not picked and paid for. Besides, alot of work goes into the concepts, so why should the design not be used elsewhere if possible. Makes the time well spent, instead of wasted. Especially in this forum, where designers put alot of their time and effort into work that may not get 'picked' or they may not, in the end, get paid for it.

    Seems superficial to take a design for one thing, and use it for another? But, lets face it, designs/thoughts/work may not work in one arena, but after rethinking, and seeing if from a new perspective, it may work in another. So, don't be too harsh on recycling ideas/concepts/designs.

    "The recycling of designs" as you put it happened in 2 different contests at the same time! What happens if this single design won both contests? In addition, Shouldn't the designer at least try to tailor the design to the client's wants and needs? Finally, the admins of 99Designs.com are against using the same design in different contests (ask them yourself if you wish).

    Sorry but either way, I am NOT interested in a logo that will also be used elsewhere, for whatever reason.

    If someone enters the same design in two contests at the same time...thats not re-cycling...thats just plain dumb.

    I meant re-cycling after a design has been submitted and not picked and paid for and the contest has ended of course.
