This design represents keyword envy with the bar chart as the results of the keywords. I have kept your colour scheme with a glass effect and a matt effect as requested.
I thought the use of a key is not required since a key would represent something like a keymaker, or a locksmith etc. It seems more appropriate to use a bar chart, or some kind of 'results as the logo.
The icon is graphically legible when its 16x16, your chosen colours bring it out from the white background. I have also displayed how it could look with a thin orange border around the icon.
Please do let me know if this is along the lines of what you are looking for.
