here's how it might work on a color
in this case its an orange, which i recommend because it delivers a stronger brand image for arizona..
i can make on on black too, but overall i dont recommend black as a background for your brand. its just not a color that should be used in large amounts when one things of tucson.
also note that i have put a slight space in between the T and the R (it was previously connected) let me know what you think about that. im fine with it connected, but thought there may some people who would need separation in order to read those letters 100 % properly.

ok my man! here are some color samples.
i have to admit im pretty married to the original, but i do like these new ones.
the top row is the original (SLIGHTLY lightened the yellow)
second row is the earth tones of orange
third row is earth tones of red.
(tried greens, but they just didnt work at all)other changes ive made here include bringing the DAILY a little closer to TRE.
i agree with this move, but dont advise any closer than this. if its printed in black and white, you still want there to be some separation between those 2.also moved the tagline up a little bit. i agree with this move too.
i'm now working on a version of the original on a dark background to give you an idea how that might work!

and can you bring TRE & Daily a little more closer together? Half the distance, and of course, fix the tagline to fit with it.

yes, i think black TRE works best because it creates balance, as you mentioned.
This way the logo is bookenended by that hot orange color.
I'll correct the spelling, and move the name a little closer to the logo.
as far as the favicon goes, let me think on this a bit! there are a lot of elements in the logo that we can use to make a favicon, but it has to be something very very simple and small. I've done a few favicons in the past, so I know the limitations of a favicon. i'll make sure you have one to look a by tomorrow! -

If you read this, you don't have to read my previous messages.
*You spelled Tucson incorrectly in the tagline.
*Can you create a favicon image now?
*Can I see the distance of TRE Daily and the tagline's vertical separation cut in half the length? As you can see, right now you're the top and only contender.
