thank you for your entries, but after thoughtful consideration, your implementation of the flag, state, and star is too predictable and simplistic.

with #22, the state shape was no good, and the tagline seperating the TRE and Daily was odd. And the cowboy font is better than two different fonts for TRE and Daily.

thanks for the invite...exciting contest indeed!
have tried to clinically encoporate what you have mentioned in the brief...the entire color scheme is also taken from the arizona flag for instant recognition of the location...
the star of the flag as you can see is aligned to the "tucson' state...have made it more prominent by adding an arrow in the second variation...
montains and home is also embedded together...
have also tried to bring in more feel by more of 'cowboyish' fonts...dont know if you would want something like that or not...
shall await for your feedback
