Brief Summary

Need an original, modern logo designed for my photography business. I like elegant and clean designs with some sort of artwork incorporated - but please avoid clipart and the "cartoon" look. Needs to fit with all aspects of my photography (portraits, weddings, fine art).

    Aloha Everyone - thanks for the wonderful entries thus far. Just wanted to make a quick comment that though my website is currently using mostly a sans-serif font style, I'm open to my logo having a serif font. Thanks!

    Thanks everyone for your submissions so far. Just a quick reminder - the design has to work on both black AND white backgrounds. The logo also needs to be able to work as a watermark for my images. Plus having a touch of color in the design would be nice to include. Thx again!

    Aloha - want to make one more comment. I like how some are trying to link "Terra" with their artwork. But I'd prefer something with an "EARTH" feel along the lines of old world maps and antique globes, as opposed to the organic feel.

    Hi 22twenty, glad that helps. Just in case, I want to clarify that the old word map/globe reference was for the artwork/icon, not the necessarily the font. Not sure I want Old English styles as the font used for the company name. Thx!

    Thanks again! That keeps me from having to look through 6000+ typefaces trying to find old world fonts...lol. I will look for another flourish that may be more along the lines of what you want.

    Hi Everyone, thanks for the wide selection of wonderful entries to date. I think though that things have gotten off track a bit with my comment above about incorporating the old world map/antique globe aspect into an icon design. Please remember, I am looking for a logo with an elegant, clean, & modern feel. Fonts and artwork that are too busy are not what I am looking for. So far entries #30, #21, and #42 best represent my view of a clean, modern, and elegant look. Hope this helps to clear up any confusion. Thanks again!

    Aloha,

    I wanted to say thanks to everyone who submitted a design - there were several wonderful entries that I'm sure many photographers would love to use as their logo. I was looking for something really different from most photographers’ logos, and after chatting with some fellow colleagues the consensus was that winger's design (#82) was the standout. Thus I am going to go ahead and end the contest a little early. Thanks again designers for all your hard work, and congrats to winger!
