for the contest New Leadership Coaching Firm Logo Needed
Submitted design #38
With consent from Bob here is my design for consideration.
I made sure if I win on this I would split the prize with him
cause after all this was his design and I don't want their to
be bad blood with any designer.

Silver:
First off, thank you for attempting to ease the conflict by reaching out to Bob. Our lines of thought were tracking on how to resolve. That was very professional and considerate of you and goes along way for my desire to do business with you.
Here is what I like:
GREAT job on capturing the realism of the bulb. Regardless of your borrowed star filament concept, the realistic look of the bulb itself is superb. I also think I'm a bigger fan of the slanted bulb vs. upright. By far you and Bob hold the top two spots.
Here are improvement areas:
Now that the bulbs are coming in closer to what I want for the end product, I'm struggling with the text. I like how you submitted diffent text layouts, but I would like to see more of a gloss/gel/shine effect on the text itself.
Here are some thoughts....
Resubmit with the bulb as is, (the one leaning). And show me what you can do with the text in red but with gloss. Look at #21 and #24 as they are closest with my desire in regards to the text. The text shadow in #29 is a great touch as well. Would like to see what you can come up with there.
Also, something no one has done yet that I would like to see is cursive font for "leadership coaching." Would like to see your idea.
Great work overall, thank you again for your time, and I look forward to potential revisions!

Getting closer on the text.
Can we try a few things...
Text idea 1) Try a brighter shade of red for "inspiratude". This might help the gloss effect show up more. You did a good job making it more obvious on this entry, just want it to pop a bit more.
idea #2) I like the dual color for the "inspiratude." Can you show me what that would look like on your design. On the black background, do "inspir" in white text and "atude" in red. On the white background, do "inspir" in black text and "atude" in red.
idea #3: Can you show me each of the above two ideas again with a bevel/3d effect to the word "inspiratude" only.
In total I suppose I'm asking for four iterations of the word "inspiratude." The bulb and text layout as you have them are just fine.
One of those four combinations will most likely end up being the the final design I hope.
Final member of the advisory board saw your design and loves it as well. You've won everyone over!
Thanks for all your hard work, patience, and redesigning.

After talking to Bob through AIM he sent a copy of the text he was using and here is my image with his text. He has been very helpful and deserves some credit on this.

Another text variation.
Silver:
Just sent you a note on the text. When you resubmit, can you also resubmit with a larger bulb sample. It was just pointed out that the current sample looks a little pixelated when we zoom in. We'll need to be able to use this design on large banners in the future. Will this be an issue?

Please Note that an image is bitmap so when you zoom in on any image it will pixelate. The image is only vector when it is in the file format. When open in Illustrator or Photoshop you can resize it and will not have the pixelation you get from a bitmap. Hope this helps.
Silver:
That helps alot! By no means am I a design guru so I only know what I see.

Wow! I absolutely love #63! I'll have to run it by the advisory board but love the red text and gloss! As I've asked with other designs, can you also show me this on the black background.
Also, can you quickly throw up #63 with "leadership coaching" in the same font as "inspiratude." I personally like the effect the cursive writing gives, but one of the board members would like to see it in the non cursive font as well.
You've wrapped up this contest as far as I can tell! GREAT work and THANK YOU for all your time, effort, revisions, patience, and all else I should be thanking you for! I admire your dedication to the satisfying your customer, even when he makes a million and one request!
Quick question, I understand what you said about pexlating, but out of curiosity, how large can you enlarge a vector before you start having issues? Is there a limit at all?

2 versions of text to consider.
Silver:
Great work again. If can repost with a white background (obviously making the white "leadership coaching" black that should be enough for a final decision to be made tomorrow.
