for the contest 13InchShell- SIMPLE Web Design for MacBook Case E-Store Website
Hey CoreDesignz,
I love the design! It is simple, and just looks awesome. You are very talented!
I won't be making a decision until the end, but this one looks awesome.
I do have a few changes to ask for, which include:
-That logo needs to be changed. Honestly, because the website is so simple, it could just use a nice bubbly font with very round edges. Try to do something, because the water logo is just kinda random, but still nice of course! Also, I think that a handwriting logo would be nice, just how you wrote Blue, Red, and Pink in the header.
-In the template, I would like there to be a sticker-like seal that is on the top left, or right. Most likely top left on this design. And it should say, "Limited time, free shipping!" Or something like that. I plan to change it often.
-I usually like websites that have a subtle repeated pattern like polka dots, or something similar. I don't want the website to be too busy, but I feel like it always makes the design look better. Can you try to add some type of background to it? You can keep the blue color, but just make it a blue/oneshadedarkerblue pattern, you understand?
-For the part that says, "$49.00 each", can you do something a bit more creative? I prefer that the price is under each case picture.
-In the end, I would like the "products" page to have all of the cases, then when you click on one, the main image above it will change to that one, and give you an option to see more pictures. You don't have to make that until the end though.
BTW, you spelled "products" wrong... Not a big deal, just letting you know.
If you have any questions about my suggestions, or if you think I should do something different, or not at all, PLEASE tell me. Remember, I am not the creative one here, you are. ;)

I would love to see one or two more concepts. I do like the second submission, but something about it isn't hitting the spot. Don't get me wrong, it does look great. I just feel like it's missing something.

#6 is looking great. Can you put an asterick next to the "Free Shipping" seal, and also make the "Free Shipping" text a cooler look? Can you flip over one side a bit so it looks like it's a sticker that is peeling off? Let me know if you don't understand what I mean.
Then below the "My Cart" button at the bottom, you can put. "*Orders placed in the month of April are eligible for free Priority Mail (2-3 Day) service. Not valid with other offers or International Orders."
You can remove the "Any...U.S." in the middle icon on the bottom with the credit card logo's.
Something about the "13 Inch Shell" logo at the top left isn't hitting the spot. :( I think a bubbly font with round edges, and a shadow can do the job.

Whoops, I submitted by accident. I'll continue though.
- Can you come up with any creative bullett ideas for the "Why 13 Inch Case?" box?
- In that "Why 13 Inch Case?" box, do you think brown is the best font color? Please play with it, and try to find something that might look better. If you're confident that it's the best color, we can stick with it, I trust you.
- I had talked to you about the background before, and you changed it a bit. But I want something more like a pattern. After you make the above corrections, can you submit another design with a background similar to "http://picsorban.com/upload/basdf.jpg"? I really like that background, and I would like it to be dark blue/blue, or something like that? I don't want it to be too loud, and distracting. But just post it for my satisfaction. ;)

#26 looks great. Here's my feedback:
-I like the new logo/font.
-I would like you to remove the magnifying glass from the search box, and leave space between the box and the "GO" box.
-I like the blue font rather than brown, and I like the thin white border around the box that says "Why 13 Inch Shell?"
-I don't know what I think of the top right free shipping thing. It's creative, but I prefer something like #23 & #27.
-I love the new Credit Card logo's, they're awesome.
Again though, even though I think it looks good, I still feel like something's missing. :( Do you think there's anything you and I are forgetting? Do you think that when someone sees this website, they'd think it's a credible brand just because of this website? I want this to look like a very good quality/trusted product based off the website, not just the pictures.
Please also try out that background whenever you get a chance, I think it might help.

I also wanted to add that I like how #27 has the shopping cart details at the top right. Can you implement that into this website? After seeing that, I realized it's something I have to have on this template, so try to make it happen, while keeping it neat!
I know you'll need to make space for it to happen, so you might want to take off the top right free shipping sign as discussed earlier, and put it there like it is in #27. I would like to keep the search bar, but we have to relocate it I think. I don't know, I have faith that you can do something good. :D
I really like where this is going, and it's going to be at the near-perfection level after a little bit of work.

I think I like that #26 has the three rectangles at the bottom, can you put those back?
Also, I like how you put the details of the item you selected above the selection of five colors. But I want the image that's selected to be much larger, maybe about 400 pixels wide or so. Something like #27 and #31, understand?
I think that will be an awesome revision. Also, in the header you have the three polaroid looking things. Those are great, I love them. But I want to put something else in them. I might need to wait some time so I can take new pictures and implement them into the site. Do you have any suggestions for now, or in the future when I have new pics?
I just feel like it's repetitive because there are three cases in the header, then five below it in the selection, and the main one, understand?
Also, please don't forget about trying out the pattern background.

Oh, also, lets not forget about the sticker with the edge that's peeling off. It can say "Free Shipping*" and have details at the bottom. I prefer that it has the details at the bottom, so we can fill out the site more, understand?

When I said this, I forgot to specify that I do like how you put the details of the color selected ABOVE the selection. So don't put it below the selection of five colors like #27 and #31.

I like #43. I would like the bullets to be diferent. I don't like that color, but I didn't like the old ones too much either.
Can you make the quantity adjustable? MAybe with an arrow next to it, so you can go up or down?
I prefer the bottom three rectangles to be the same as #26, not how you did it in #43.
I love the thumbtack with the post it notes.
In small white font at the very bottom of the page, can you put, "*Free shipping offer valid for a limited time only. Not valid with any other offers, or international orders." Oh, and on the thumbtack note, put the Asterick at the end of free shipping like this, "Free Shipping*", not "*Free Shipping"
I would like the image to be bigger for the selected case. So make the red case with the notebook paper in the background a bigger image please.
Can you put the price at $69.99 and put a strikethrough and then put the price of $49.99, as if the price has been slashed?
The top right with the shopping cart details should be just like #27, with more details than you put.
Do you think the details that say "Quantity, Color, and Price" Should have a box around them? I feel like it should have some sort of definition.
I think that's all for now, but I might have more suggestions in a bit.
I like the glowing stars that were used in #41 for the bullets. You can try something like that, or bullet holes like #4 has in the header? I think if you use three different bullet holes, it would look awesome.
Please also make the "Why 13 Inch Shell?" in larger font, and possibly a different font. You can probably make the bulleted points larger, too. But make sure the question is larger than the points. Please get rid of the part that says, "Something like that, ya know?"
Also, please put this as the description for the red case the same as #49. Don't worry about stealing, I have talked to him about that already.
I like how you got rid of the polaroids, and put the specials box. We need to decorate the specials box with either a cool logo looking thing that saw specials, sticker type icon, or similar to dress it up.
I'm really banking on this design out of all of them, and all the people I've asked have loved this one most, which is great!

Hi, this is looking great! I would like the bullet arrows to stay, but can you make them blue, with a drop shadow like #64?
Also, that box with Quantity, Color, and Price needs to move over to the left side a bit, it's touching the wall, and I feel like it needs some space.
Can you make the specials box darker than it is now? Possibly almost as dark as the background if it looks good.
I also made corrections to the bottom, please check them out. I need you to re-do it properly, and neatly please. I also put more definition in the box with the quantity, price, and color by making it darker. In this picture, I also made the main picture of the red case larger as a whole including the notebook paper background.
Please make all of these changes ASAP as the contest is ending soon.
