Brief Summary

This logo needs to be a one piece logo, meaning it is all connected. It needs to be one word on top of the other, not "BIGTIME" all the way accross.

I would like to have the final version in PSD, JPG, and Vector if possible. The PSD and JPG should be very high resolution.

    Okay guys,

    I am still waiting on meeting with my customer once again. It might be up to five days before I report back. Don't worry, I will be back.

    I wanted to let you know that there is a possibility that I choose my tweaked version of Design President's logo. He withdrew his submission, and decided to not be a part of this contest, even though I PM'd him telling him he'd be a winner after making minor tweaks, he decided not to.

    It still needs to be cleaned up, but that won't be a problem for me to do.

    I like the drawing #36, but the hands in #46 are not attractive to me. I wanted to tell you that I don't think #36 can be a winner because it's hard to understand that they're clock hands.

    If you would like, you can post a new subission here, or send me a message with it. If I like it, I will make you the winner on #36, and just go ahead and use the logo in the PM. I would like the hands to be just like the hands in the design I posted above. Can you do that for me?

    Design President,

    I was saying I wanted to pay you another $100 for a separate logo. I figured I'd ask you for a separate logo since you're a designer, and I was happy with your first design. That way, I wouldn't have to put up another contest, and I could give you more business. If it's gonna be like that, fine. I'll tweak your idea, and not pay you since you have withdrawn it. Do me a favor and don't submit anymore designs, I don't want to waste your time.

    I said, " I also need a logo that says "OakTown". It needs to be black/white also, and it is supposed to look something like the Oakland Raiders logo I think."

    You may have misunderstood me, and could have cleared this up through messages, but you thought it'd be cool to call me out on here.

    PS, this contest is still active for anyone willing to participate. I will choose a winner in the end.

    WARNING: I withdrew my designs from this contest effective immediately even though i am the front runner. Why? it's become very clear to me that this client is trying to take advantage of my time and my work.

    The client told me i would be the winner, if i produced another logo on the side, for a totally different venture, within 24 hours. this is a new project in ADDITION to this one, for one very low contest award of 100 dollars. The client was also very demeaning in tone, and very rude to be quite frank.

    I highly advise any designers on this project to keep their head up when dealing with this client.
    For me personally, i dont have time or patience for this kind of abuse.

    #24 is very rough! I just wanted to see what you thought of the concept before I went ahead to make it more real looking and a lot sharper / play around with where the font goes etc.

    You may eliminate the logo but please comment on the concept.

    okay, so far design pres' first drawing is a winner.

    let's try to get away from that idea and go for a new concept that doesn't involve the clock going around the entire logo, and the minute hands.

    It's just a moral issue. I see that you are new here so if you continue to take someone's concept and expound upon it, you will get some heat. You have potential to make some good money with your designing ablilities, but be original. Use a clock theme, no problem, just be different about it.
    I'm thru hijacking this contest (sorry waterbottle). Good luck to you r2designs. You too Design Pres!

    and at the same time the designer gets the end choice (meaning if he feels things are unfair he has everyright to ignore my submissions)- as you can see DP has taken the idea a step further and to be quite honest I like it a lot with the screw look, great idea. I was thinking a 'sheet metal' look but I don't think it would top DP's new design.

    DP nailed it right on and I am sorry pegatinas that I took a heated outlook on the situation but I was just offended because it didn't say in the terms that you shouldn't copy a concept - but he is right, this place needs people like you to keep people in the right mind set, sorry if I offended you in anyway.

    If I get some spare time I will play with the concept some more, I would also like to see some feedback from water for these new ideas before I progress.

    design president, thank you. However, your idea was to make the hands of the clock the "i"s in BIG and TIME. That was your concept. Other designs obviously can have a clock related theme but to take your concept with the "i"s is wrong, in my opinion.

    i just wanted to quickly weigh in on this "copying" issue. while i do commend pegatinas stance on copying this particular instance is a bit of a grey area. waterbottle expressly encouraged the use of clock hands in his brief, so it would be unfair me of to attack any other designer for incorporating this idea simply because i thought of its use within the words first.

    In the end this is the risk a designer weighs when using a site model such as this. there is always going to be some element of monkey see monkey do, and to a degree we must live with it.
    in this case im with the concensus that this is not an act of copying, but rather an evolution of the original idea presented in the brief. thanks again to pegatinas, this site needs people like you here to keep us on the straight and narrow!
