Brief Summary

Seeking a design (album art and insert) for a unique collaborative music CD. The musicians on this CD have never met -- they worked totally online from all over the world using kompoz.com as their virtual music studio. We need a design that captures the open, collaborative, worldwide nature of the project.

    A quick question.

You prefer a photograph-based design for this project. Most designers here use stock photography. In order to distribute the album with the artwork reproduced legally, you would need an extended license on the image. The prices vary depending on the author/website you purchase the stock from. Would you be willing to pay for the extended license? The more well-known stock photography sites with extended licenses can range anywhere from $50-100 or more depending on the run of your product.

The reason I'm bringing this up, is because alot of designers don't purchase extended licenses on the images and honestly it would be pointless for the winning designer to pay for it because he would make nothing.

    Just thought I'd ask

You prefer a picture cover rather than a graphic design?
    Thanks.

Entires look good so far. I'm looking for a little more "edge" -- more stylistic elements, and less of the line art stuff. Some favorite album covers include:
