for the contest Website re-design for professional consultancy
Submitted design #7
This is the first design. Let me know if you like it. I appreciate your feedback.
Thanks for the design. We really wanted the navigation to be condensed to main points only, with sub menus coming out as flyout menus. Could you incorporate this? Lacks a bit of interest without photos - very text heavy - but we've responded separately to your question on that so perhaps you can revise the design?

Design 2
My design has the flyout menu and some pictures now.
Do you like the strapline at the top?
Great, thanks. This looks better. Not sure about the strapline at the top - maybe doesn't go with the rest of the design all that well. Do you have any other ideas?

I changed the header of this site. I added the Latest News section on the left side. It will be showed when you are on sub pages.
If you are not satisfied with something else, let me know.
Thank you.
Thanks. Header much improved. Good idea about news on the left but does that mean you would suggest something else going on the bottom of the home page to replace it?
Sorry. I forgot to explain that. When you are on sub pages, the content section will be busy, text rich after all. In this case News will be showed on the left side instead of the bottom. But on the homepage it will come back and the left panel can be used as eye-catcher for an upcomping training or something similar.
The text-based News section on the left can also have thumbnails, if you like it.
hatomalic.
I can do that, the sub page. You can imagine it better then.

I incorporated the event & training search on the left panel. The items are only for info purpose here. This form redirects the user to another page. Here will be the acurate information. This gadget is intended to be on the other pages, too (above or below section with news).
The second design is the sub page.

Thanks for the extra work. The subpage looks good with the news items included - good idea. Not sure what you mean about the news section on the left having thumbnails? Not keen on the idea of the event search panel - makes training a bit too prominent compared with other services but would be happy to keep it as an eye-catcher for something new as you suggested earlier.
having thumbnails> I meant, the news items with little pictures, as I done in #35.
the event search panel > You're right. An eye-catcher will be better.
Anyway, do you need some changes, all is ok?
Thanks. We would like to see a couple of variations. Could you provide (1) a version of the home page with less content ie a shorter page? The explanation of training and consultancy could go somewhere else. (2) a version of the home page that allows for a split between two elements of the business eg two main markets we might focus on? A bit like in #48. Look forward to seeing these.

I made the changes.
Thanks for the revision and for your flexibility throughout. We've had some really good designs so it's going to be a tough decision. I need to discuss my short-list with colleagues and hope to have a decision in next couple of days. Thanks.
