for the contest Roomex.com Logo
Submitted design #4
my first submission. the hotels cross to form an X. x marks the spot and the whole thing...ya know? enjoy!
Hi, good idea with the 'x' but probably not quite what we are looking for. i think we probably need to focus more on the name Roomex.com and maybe still use the smiley face, which correlates with the word 'enjoy'. another possible tagline we have is 'enjoy booking your hotel'. i really like some of your other logos that you have done and they are what i would class as very good web2.0 logos. in particular i like #43 biztree and #1 goclubgo. i hope this feedback helps.
hi, i think also the colours used are not what i am thinking of. before doing a new design, could you perhaps just change the colours on this one, perhaps using those from #1 by ddesign below. thanks.
Submitted design #60
a revision to my first entry. more to come.
Submitted design #66
something a bit different from my other submission. more to follow. thanks!
thanks for getting back so quickly. i think the #4 was better with the icon on the left. might need to try a different concept perhaps. would it be possibel to get something similar to your number 48 BizTree that i saw before which i liked the look of ? thanks. open to any other suggestions also.
my last comment was regarding #60
regarding #66 - great - your doing these faster than i can type. i'll give you some time to do some more before commenting but these are good, thanks
Submitted design #70
just a slightly different concept. i incorporated windows into the letters so that an actual illustration of a building doesn't detract from the readability, but you still get the concept of the representation of hotel rooms. i look forward to your feedback. thanks!
Submitted design #72
a couple other color options in case green isn't your thing :)
looking forward to hearing your thoughts on these. please let me know what i can do to improve. having fun with this. thanks!
thanks again, these are all good, would you have any other suggestions please, maybe along the lines of your first two #4 and #60 ? we are trying to get a balance between reliable and fun which i think your original one does, but with perhaps more emphasis on the Roomex element rather than the icon. not sure if i am being helpful here, open to suggestions ?
Submitted design #78
combination of the last few.
Submitted design #79
another entry. this maintains the feel of your smiley face without actually being a smiley face. the tagline implies a mouth and the o's appear to be looking at the rooms above
Submitted design #80
the more i looked at my last submission (#79) the more i realized it could work without all the superfluous elements. by filling in the counters in the o's and e, it makes it more fun, sort of like how a kid fills in the letters in their school books. the tagline also livens things up because it resembles a smiley face.

one more
hi again, thanks for these designs, the quality of your work really is excellent. my favourites are still 66 / 72. i wonder could we see say the blue version without the eyebrows please. i agree with what you say about having too many superfluous elements, the more simple the better i think. i wonder might you also try a version of #77 by sigode below, but more web2.0 ? thanks, hope this helps
glad you like my work. i will work with your feedback. thanks!
Submitted design #100
another for your consideration
Submitted design #101
surprised this hasn't been done yet...the treatment of the R i mean. enjoy!
hi again, these are both great, #100 being my favourite. i think the R might be too eloaborate in 101, simple and uncomplicated seems to be what is appealing to me. well done, i can't think of any more suggestions unless you have some...
hi, we have an idea if you can put it together for us please :a mix of best elements of 100 and 72:
- use the eyes (oo) and smile of 100 (no eye brows)
- use the “find book enjoy” and .com of 72
- use the blue or orange of 72
would this be possible please ? thanks
another option, perhaps easier than my sggestion above, is #72 without the eyebrows and the 'oo' eyse slightly further apart. our reason for this is to have clarity overall on the roomex name. would this be possible please ?
thanks
not a problem. i'll get on it!
Submitted design #112
based on your first set of comments. the other revision (#72 without the eyebrows) will be posted shortly. thanks again for the feedback!
Submitted design #113
based on your request to remove the eyebrows and increase the distance between the O's in #72
thanks for the prompt reply, both great but 113 is our favourite. i think the extra grey shading behind 'mex' on 112 don't make it quite as clear. would also help if the 'oo' wasn't quite so tight to the R and m. i think if you made these changes to 112, the only difference then between them would be the design difference in the eyes, which would then leave us with a very clear 'either or' choice. thanks again, i think this is the last of the changes...
Submitted design #115
based on yoru feedback to #112. i opened up the letters a bit. enjoy!
Submitted design #116
opened the type up just a tad more to make it more legible and also added the orange one
excellent, we think 116 hits the nail on the head, our first 5 star. the extra spacing definitely helps. the orange version is probably slightly ahead on the grounds that there is an extra bit of colour and fading around the middle where it fades to yellow and then back to orange again as you progress towards the 'x'. presumably this is possible with the blue version ( or the green or any colour for that matter ) also fading to a light sky blue or something in the middle and back towards darker blue again at the 'x' ?
Submitted design #130
in blue, per your request. i hope you like it! thanks for the promo deal by the way. i will be checking it out shortly. you guys rock!
Submitted design #131
in other colors. yes, the gradation of color can be adjusted to any color you desire. thanks again. it's been a fun contest. let me know if you have any additional changes.
great, thanks, no further changes.
