Brief Summary

We are looking for a unique logo that gets peoples attention, shows that we are technically sophisticated (we are an MIT-spinoff), that we are willing to do things differently, and that we can show complex things using a clean and simple interface.

Also, we have a number of graphic design projects that we would like to get done over the next few months, and are hoping to meet a great set of designers here for the projects.

  1. Hi vineet, just to help you clarify, PSD is not a vector format; EPS and AI are standard industry vector formats. PSD high resolution is also accepted but is less flexible. It might be good to clarify your requirements.

  3. I have clarified the format requirements above: "logo needs to be in a vector format like AI, but we will also need the 'icon' version to be produced in a 16x16 bitmap."

  6. Thanks for the designs so far...

    We went through most of the entries and posted comments on them.

    In general, we had some comments:
    o The name Architexa comes from Architecture. Given the difference in the last two letters, in general potential customers have a hard time reading and remembering that part. For the logo this means that we need to make sure that the last bit is readable.

    o It seems that to make a memorable logo it needs to be both strong and sophisticated - some of the logos either looked too much like something I have seen before, or were too complicated that they wouldn't look good small, or did not have the polish making them look a little cheap.

  7. PSD CAN be a vector format, because there's features on vector editing in it :), and it's resizable in any size without quality loss.

  8. PSD is not an industry standard vector format though.:) PSD 'can' be a vector, but not always is.:)
