- Brief Summary
-
Design a cool, clean, fun site that helps me promote my books, sell my show, and gets magicians from all over the world to sign up for my blog updates! .
- Brand Name
- Aaron Fisher Magic
- Description
-
Magicians around the world pay to attend my lectures and seminars to help them learn how to perform better sleight of hand. I also invent tricks and techniques for use by close up magicians. I've written about these tricks in my books, and taught them on my dvds. I also write a blog about magic - I use it to market my books to magicians around the Internet. Here's a video of me performing a trick:

You'll see that I'm not a rabbit in the hat, or magic wand magician. I am young, edgy and am considered an expert in card magic. Please bear this in mind with your design.
My website
My personality literally IS my product. Whether in person at a show or lecture, or in the form of my books and posts - customers are actually buying my attitude. I'd like the site to convey that. It should be clean, cool, uncluttered and convey my personal touch. It shouldn't feel like Wal-Mart.
Rather than simply a web store, consider this more of an author site - the purpose of which is to introduce me and my ideas to the visitor in a compelling way. My favorite example of this is sethgodin.com. He uses it to market his books, blogs and ideas, as well as live appearances and lectures. It's a good model for this sort of site - I like it's tone. It's corporate friendly, but with a spark of fun and creativity that that shows in his work. Also look at http://leeasher.com - this is the site of a magician who's work is similar to mine. Let's do something in between the two.
What I'll need
I'll need you to design a number of pages on my site. If you can build it in valid XHTML / CSS, that's great too - let me know with your submission and we'll discuss that separately. But, for now I just want to get the best design possible so it doesn't matter if you can't build it as I can get someone else to do it.
The menu items that I'll need are:- Mailing List
- Blog
- The Store
- Videos
- Bio
- Aaron Fisher Special Events
I've put together a package with a load of photos here. Please use them. In your quest to make a hip, exciting website, feel free to alter these photos as you like. Here are the photos:http://www.flickr.com/photos/99designscontest/sets/
Please use one of the colors given in the logo. It's important that you do not change the logo and that you make your style compliment my logo. Here's the link to the file with the logo:http://www.aaronfishermagic.com/CONTEST

You'll find my current website here:
http://www.aaronfishermagic.com /. The actual text and design will change, but this will let you get to know me and the kind of content that will be on the site.
How to start
To make a decision on the design that I'd like to go for, I'll need to see a content page and a homepage. Let's start with a homepage and I'll ask the designers that I like to put together a content page too.
And here's a page detailing the content that should be on the homepage. Click Here.
