This is a good design choice because it is very expandable, it will work in any color, on any surface, it's simple and unique. As I was creating this i also thought about menus and other things, where you can change the lime slice to orange and it would be an orange slice, or yellow and it could be a lemon slice etc..which might be nice for seasons, or different sections of the menu. The logo can also be used with or without the box, you do not need the entire logo in order for it to be easily recognized, which is another good logo quality. Also the type and color of the box can be made into any color, for multiple uses, I wasn't sure what colors you were looking for to brand your company, but yellow and green are most commonly associated with youth, energy and "freshness". Also I am showing you a black and white version, because this is also helpful, trademarking companies will only accept black and white logos.
