Brief Summary

We want to create a new logo for our company. We're going to trademark it so it needs to be original. It has to be line art, one color so it can be embroidered or stenciled onto lots of things. It has to contain our name. It has to be exceptionally awesome. Awesomeness is really the key to our whole company, and our logo has to express that.

    The way the brief gets formatted, it loses capitalization. please note that the correct spelling of our name is GivePlay with a capital G and P.

    By awesome we mean "capable of inspiring awe" ;) We want people to see the log and be so impressed they don't even see the rest of the site... But I guess in answer to your question "cool" is probably closest.

    I'm not sure if people are reading the brief too quickly and interpreting this phrase "some people think the kid looks like a monkey" to mean that we want a monkey in the logo, or if they're looking at the original logo and seeing a monkey, but we actually don't want monkeys... I mean it might be cool to have a monkey as a mascot, so we won't eliminate any that already have monkeys, but going forward unless you have time on your hands you should probably avoid monkeys.

    i'm just wondering, just to know, but can rickshow use characters from a different game and claim that they are his or sell it to a company so that they claim it's theirs? such as with #58? seems wrong......

    well, I don't know the actaul "rules" on that, but they aren't the actual artwork from those games, it's likenesses of them. So, all in all, if we don't want to mess with that, it's not a big deal - they can be "rejected", but they sure are fun to do!

    @ Rickshow

    Uhmmm Megaman and Zelda are copyrighted and registered trademark characters and likeness art selling in a design is a violation
    of both. You can't use them in your logos cause even a contest is considered bill of sales. Sorry to burst the bubble on this but
    you don't need the legal nightmare where those two designs will take you.
