Brief Summary

** I've got enough designs for now!! No more entries please! **

We need a clean looking, simple yet professional design for the Abel Tasman Airport Motor Inn. The Abel Tasman is a member of Best Western. We'd like to give it a bit of a 'luxury' feel, eg better than your average motel :-) You will design the Home Page, which we will then carry through the rest of the site.

    Hi Indigo,

    I didn't put anything in the brief about other Launceston-related photos because, well, I didn't even think of mentioning it! :) I should point out though, that my client's comments on Nadia's design were 'it's simple, easy to read and very classy', so it wasn't just the photos. Thanks for entering, though - I did quite like your designs!

    Thanks (hvala :-) Indigooutine.

    I took a risk and used some images from the area where the motel is located - it may not have worked (btw it hasn't in other contests I've entered). My thinking was that someone looking for a motel in that area would love to see some photos of that area as well... seems it worked :-)

    PS: I was visiting Tasmania a while ago and was lucky enough to have photos of Launceston which were ideal for this project.

    Jacob, thanks for the nice contest.

    P.S.: as I usually always research the 'background' for the new project I'm about to start, I've checked facts for this one too and I found some really great photos of Tasmania on iStock -you truly have interesting and beautiful landscape. It's really worth seeing! Unfortunately (for me) I thought that I'm (we're) supposed to only use photos that the client provided. We all know that with great (big and clean) photo any design looks a 80% better.

    Hi there everyone,

    I have received enough entries for the time being!! Please don't submit any more entries, as my client is getting a little overwhelmed as it is :-) He does have a favourite so far (#11), but I am just running the last few designs by him for additional feedback.

    I won't close the contest just yet, until he has decided firmly on a concept.

    Again, great work everyone - I can't tell you how impressed I am with the designs, and the willingness of people to make adjustments quickly etc. I'll certainly be using this method again.
