Actually, the question is valid - yes, we'll pay via Western Union, but the fee for WU will be taken out of the winnings. Thanks for asking.

BIG HINT - using this picture, a little faded, would make a great background :)

@HobbyCat - that curved element in your design is a complete replica of mine - looks like you copied it exactly, but flipped it both vertically and horizontally. According to my graphics program (after a cut and paste of your design and overlaid on mine, the only difference is that it's a fraction wider to match the wider of your design)... am I wrong?

Hi Nadia, I just saw what you wrote. I'm so sorry that you think that way. I'm the last person to even think about copying anyone and you of all people here (being here on SP contest for such a long time) should knew that on every contest there's at least two entries that have something in common. Sometimes it's very hard to avoid similarities since we all have similar basic associations on given theme. Actually, I started to work on my design for this contest in a first couple of hours after the contest was created and had the whole draft finished a few hours later. I immediately got this idea of the curve from one particular image of the pool I found:
http://www.istockphoto.com/file_closeup/settings/seasons/summer/3288012_freshhhhhhh.php?id=3288012 (I hope it's ok to paste this link here.)

Since I daily use vector programs for drawing all sorts of complex graphics I surely know how to draw such simple shape in PS. I simply drew five anchor points and added some colors and styles.

I'm sorry if I have used similar concept that you have. Not intentionally. If I only knew this will come...

I must admit that such accusations have strong impact on me. I'm seriously thinking about quitting SP contests because of such and many other things. I personally put a lot of work and energy in all this contests and get no respect from anyone, often no feedbacks or offensive ones. It's no use of wasting my time and knowledge and getting nothing else but tensions.

After you Nadia write here that you fully accept the fact that I did not copy your curve I will be more than happy to withdraw my entry here and on all other contests.

Good luck to all. You'll need it.

HobbyCat, it was not my intention by my comment for you to feel that you have to leave 99designs. It was an observation of what I saw. I can now see that others have also used the 'curve' shape, you are not the only one. From my experience here, I can only say that someone sees an entry with 4-5 stars, so they (generally speaking) believe that they should copy elements of that design to get a winning entry - not so. How many times have we seen that an entry getting 4-5 stars loses to an entry that may only have 2-3 stars. I sincerely hope that you do not leave the contests, I've seen a few of your submissions and you do good work.

So you still insist that I've copied your curve? Although I clearly explained where the idea of curve came from. Certainly not from your design. I agree that some 'designers' act the way you described but I do not work that way. If I do view designs from others, I do it for the opposite reason -to avoid such incidents. This time I didn't. My mistake.

About leaving contests... It's not because of your comment -that was just 'the tip of the iceberg'. What really bothers me for some time now, is the negative and disrespectful attitude from all sides. I really don't need this... I have my pride.

Thanks for the last comment. Still, I made up my mind to move on.

@Nadia, next time, when you accuse someone of copying you, please do that via PM. My name has been publicly tarnished here and you elegantly avoided admitting that you had no foundation. It's unfair.
