Quite a challenge...very interesting project. Hope you like this a little.
Regarding design #31
Your style is good, but the actual elements need some work.
1. Stretch the chain tighter so that the links aren't hanging loosely. The chain should be looped through the ribbon. Right now it looks like they are somehow just touching each other and doesn't look realistic.
2. Raise the right side of ribbon, lower the left side of the ribbon/arrow. This will make a much more consistent curve across the ribbon/chain/arrow.
3. The globe style is very good and has depth. I really like it a lot. But your globe must have rotation! So far the best way to convey that is with clouds that are slightly blurred or with trails of some kind.
Your style is the best of everyone I have seen on here. If you get those things right and really convey rotation then you are very close to winning the contest. Please keep the entries coming.

I really feel as though this is a step down from your previous entry.
Though the chain and arrow are different in this one I don't like it. You lost all the curve in the ribbon/chain as well as they are now at a very steep angle.
Since getting the chain right seems to be difficult for you I have removed that requirement.
Your previous globe had real depth, this one does not. If you can convey rotation, but keep that depth, I would be really happy.

The ribbon looks a little weird on the right side. Almost as though it is cutting into the side of the globe.
