As mentioned in the design brief, the color of the logo must remain purple.
I've used Western Union in the past, but prefer to send by PayPal. I could probably use Western Union but would have to reduce winning prize by about $25-$50 depending on how many payments are made.

As mentioned in the design brief, the color of the logo must remain primarily purple but I think the client would be open to using a different color than gray in the "Pro" part of the logo.

Just one inside template is required. The inside template should be either a two or three column template. Then once a have a basic template, I can adapt it to several different layouts (1 column, 2column, 3 column, etc.) on my own or work with the designer once the winning design is chosen.

Okay, I'll give just a little bit of feedback but I'd like to wait to see a few more designs to give more detailed feedback.
I like the designs submitted so far because they are nice and clean but please keep the following in mind. In the Design Brief for this contest when I mention that I'd like to see lots of white-space, "white-space" does not necessarily mean lots of white. White-space or negative space means that the elements on the page are spaced nicely and not too busy or crowded.
The first four designs are a little too plain and need to incorporate more color somehow. That color could come from various design elements within the page such as icons, banners, images, etc or in more subtle ways such as textured or shaded sections of the page. I don't mind white and gray, but it needs to be complemented with additional color to liven up the page.
The first entry by "etechstudios" is probably the best of the first four designs.
Thanks for your efforts so far.

Okay, I just saw the entry by 1onica.com right after I left the last comment.
From a contemporary design perspective, I like this one best so far. I like the creativity of how they have incorporated the logo into several places on the page and I like the creativity of the Apply Now badge/artwork. This is the kind of creativity and contemporary design that I am looking for.
Having said that, I would like to see just a bit more color to complement the purple and gray. Perhaps this could come from additional images or other creative touches like the two I mentioned above.

hmmm snazawa it's just something i did in 10 minutes, if you like my idea of branding the layout (really good for promoting your logotype) - we can discuss some mods so it turns out perfect.
If I may comment on the other layouts..they are nice but the don't look like a whole..like something complete..
snazawa please give me some guidelines so we can go all the way..Thank You,

One more general piece of feedback regarding all designs. In general, I like Serif fonts for heading text like Georgia and Sans-Serif for paragraph text. MS Trebuchet also looks good sometimes for heading text. It's good to see variations because I could change my mind once the site is converted to HTML/CSS, but I think I'm leaning toward Serif headings.

snazawa i used georgia for the headings (titles on the right) and TrebucheT MS on the left - bolded.
Here is a example with bold headings with Trebuchet MS and light text with Trebuchet MS:
http://www.1onica.com/id/index.html the content is all TrebucheT MS.
Tell me what yout think about them and also take a look at my coding skills:)Thank You,

@1onica.com: I would say that your design skills are better than your coding skills. From the example that you gave me above, you do not structure your page well with the use of H1-H6 tags, I didn't see you using paragraph tags, and your use of CSS is not very extensive. Also, there is something seriously wrong with your style sheet. It looks like it has both html and css combined.
I'm actually a very good coder and would only be looking for someone to help me out with the coding if it would save me a lot of time and if it was done properly.

Sorry to snazawa - but just had to comment after reading some of the comments by 1onica.
The example of the coding posted is the very reason why the 'coding' category has been eliminated.
--
Before someone trys to solicit work via the comments area, they should ensure their examples are above reproach - over 27 html validation errors does not show someones' coding ability.
--
Also not nice to put down other designs in a contest - not a good way to endear yourself to other designers here...

Putting down other designs, regardless of whether it was for the whole design or in part is not the way things are done here. Just because you don't believe a design is completed, doesn't mean that the contest holder or the designer believe the same. I notice you haven't been here very long and this sort of thing is just not done I'm afraid. As for the link you posted, it doesn't have anything to do with the contest - that's soliciting your services and also isn't allowed.

1onica.com, I would have to agree with Nadia P. on this issue. The issue at hand is about the design and not about the coding. Coding can be discussed once the contest is completed. Also, you should let your work speak for itself. If you want to provide a link to your website through your profile, that is fine...but it does not look good when you try to promote yourself through the general comments area...especially when your portfolio is not a particularly strong one. Just a few suggestions. :-)

Thanks for the latest designs. I'll give some specific feedback in a couple of hours. In the meantime, several of you have referred to AbettaCare.com in your designs. Please do not mention Abetta Care anywhere. Abetta Care is going away and is merging with MedPro. "Merging" means MedPro bought out Abetta Care and is getting rid of it. Have you seen the AbettaCare.com site? It's terrible. :-)

For those of you reading this, I've got some updated specifications/requirements to pass on to you. For those of you that have time, if you could include these in your designs before Tuesday 1800GMT, that would be fantastic. I am submitting the first round of designs to the client at that time for review and feedback. The feedback that I have given to you up until now is based on my experience as well as my interviews with the client with regard to what they are looking for in a design.
1. Please include only the following links in the main navigation: Why MedPro, For Nurses, For Allied Travelers, For Employers, Job Openings, Contact Us
2. Both Apply Now and Hot Jobs should stand out clearly on the Home page as well as any inside page templates that you create.
3. "Contact A Recruiter" or "Contact A Recruiter Today" with the phone number of 1.866.943.5884 should also be included clearly on every page. A good place for this might be at the top of the page in the header section, but it does not have to be in the header just so long as it stands out on the page.
4. Lastly, please include another box/section/banner with a heading of "Royalties For Loyalty" and a subheading/text of "Earn $500 for each referral we place!" and include an arrow or link that implies "Learn More" or "Find Out More".
Thanks for all of your continued hard work!

Thanks for a great contest. I'm waiting on final feedback from my client and hope to provide an answer by sometime on Saturday...however, since it is Easter weekend, I may not be able to declare a winner until Monday. I will try to provide some feedback for some of the late entries, but unless you've received any feedback from me already, your design is not likely to be the winner. I appreciate your hard work and at the very least even if you don't win, I am familiar now with your skills and have looked at your portfolios. If I like your work, there is a chance I may contact you in the future for design projects.

Okay, this has been a very difficult contest because the client has not been able to pick a clear winner. As probably often happens, they like elements of several different designs. Since I need to pick one winner, I'm negotiating with one of the contestants and I hope to declare a winner by the end of the day.

Okay, we picked a winner: "Braveheart". The decision was very difficult and I have asked Braveheart to make quite a few changes, but in the end his design and style was the one that we felt like we could work with the best as a starting point. Since the client liked elements of several different designs, I will be contacting several of you to see about using some of your design elements in exchange for a small fee.
Thanks to everyone that submitted designs. There were many great ideas, but unfortunately we can only pick one winner. I have looked at most of your portfolios and will keep some of you in mind for future projects.
For those of you waiting on feedback from me, I will try to give some more feedback, but this is a very busy time for me and I may not be able to get to it right away.
Thanks again, Snazawa
