I love the laptop and especially the star.. but.. I'm not a fan of the actual "North Texas Nerd"...I don't like how the Texas is larger than the North..As far as color.. I like the blue.. but not necessarily the orange.. maybe green instead.

Its 100% original artwork, I don't use clip art.

And if I were to need to change the colors of the nerd and his laptop. How easy would that be?

It would be very easy if you have the correct software. The logo was made using Adobe Illustrator, so with a couple of clicks from the mouse you will be able to change any color you want. A vector file (like an EPS file) is able to be open with other kind of software such as Corel Draw or Freehand and it is, also, editable.
Feel free to suggest a color combination for the geek and the laptop and I will show how would they look like. :)

What about a simple black for the nerd and a different color for the laptop.
I know I want black in my color scheme instead of blue... but the accent color is debatable, so choose whatever color you think looks good. :)
