Brief Summary

Introduction

The award winning UK social networking website of the year 2005 & 2006 www.profileheaven.com has just been purchased by 3bill a subsidiary of the UK company Symbios Group. This competition is for the complete re design from ground up for a major site re launch on the domain name www.stayaround.com .

Currently there are hundreds of thousands of members using the existing profileheaven site. The average age range is between 15-24 years old. Comments made about the existing site are that it is dull, to complicated, and could benefit from a simpler look and feel. Currently the membership base is 60% female and 40% male

    SixRedSquares... that's an appropriate name. Your design is essentially 48 squares and a rectangle. Has someone ever told you to "Think outside the box!" You should seriously consider it.

    Respect etechstudios. Your designs a simplistic and attractive, but your color choice is less than amazing. Also, the two blue stripes background is impractical for a dynamic-height site. You may want to reconsider that :).

    It's hard to decide between gratus and harmanas_chopra. They both made really attractive designs (I would register on either page). Gratus has a glassy thing going on, but harmanas' provides more functionality upfront. I also think harmanas' would be easier to expand if you added more sections. Major props to both!

    republickadesign's looks good. harmanas' looks second best but it i love the way he added videos and music, it's fresh. gratus' designs are clichéd and done to death.

    i would go with harmanas' and tell him to add more artsy stuff like that headphone guy on republickadesign's.

    gratus and harmanas_chopra , your designs are very very bad , gratus this colors will simply RIP OFF the and damage the eyes of the user if he/she spent 30 minutes browising your design because they are extreemly BRIGHT , and your template is poor , the layout is not good the items in the menu are not separated this will make bad attention to the user , the login box is in the bottom of the page , the users needs to scroll down the page for ages to find out where to login . harmanas_chopra your design is just a mess the colors are so different the fonts are small , they are no poctures just playn text and couple of color boxes this is totally anti user experience , i advice you to make something else instead of design webpages !!! , thanks and good luck

    yeaahh , it`s really quick job , the guys just open adminpanel of the website and see all the ip addresses , in front of the username , and they can see very easly how many user names share one IP , they are probably quipment with popular functions like "search by username " search by ID " search by email " etc.. nice avatar btw , haha

    but there is no need for that , because everyone can figure out this actions of yours , with simple open your profile page and see what day and time you are registered , and when is your first login ,and what time is your first POST ( 1,2 minutes after first login ) ,? at least you can use about this some OLD accounts guyz , next time thing about this option !!! haha ;o))

    So the Truth is that 95% of the comments here about the designs , are FAKE ones , and some of the entrants makes comments about there own designs under brand new freshy registered user accounts , really sad ;] , but people make a lot of things to make some bucks right ? so i advice the Contest Holder to ignore all this comments here and concentrate into the designs !. ;]

    nexus & jason are my dumbass classmates. i made the mistake of showing them my design this morning in class. i did not know they were malicious pricks that would plague this community with biased comments and false accusations. although they are two different people and are therefore entitled to two different accounts, they should be banned on the basis of being dihonest, ignorant and belligerent. i offer my sincerest apologies and promise that i will kick their asses tomorrow. i hope this contest will be judged based on artistic talent. may the best web designer win.

    Really close on this contest, so much that it took ten of us in the office an hour to decide what the winning entry was. Also there were elements on two other designs that we wanted to see if we could buy even thogh they did not win, I have posted that in the specific designs feedback sections. This way there is more than one winner on this contest and at least a few people have benefitted... Thanks really appreciate all the time and great ideas that have been submitted.
