  6. CH---As you can see...we are getting a little irritated that you have not provided feedback. We did our end of the deal, and you should do yours. Thanks.

  8. Sorry for the lack of feedback. There has been a lot of entries for this contest. So far I haven't seen anything that has blown me away. A lot of the logo's I could have made myself... You might respond to that by saying "you told us to use text only", yes, but be a little more creative in your work and tailor it to my needs. I have made individual feedback to a lot of the logo's I like. Some of the logo's I like I don't feel need any changes so I have ceased to give any feedback. As for other ones I don't like them at all and can't give you my feedback on how to improve them, because they are not at all what I am looking for. I don't want to point any weak ones out in particular. But here's my criteria for a WEAK logo:
    - It looks like a an 8th grader made it on paint
    - I can personally make it my-self on Microsoft Word.
    - It has no "innovation" to it.
    - It looks childish and not professional or "innovative"

Here are some examples of submission that I have been rather impressed by and are more up my ally:
    http://99designs.com/contests/5567/entries/358992
    http://99designs.com/contests/5567/entries/359075
    http://99designs.com/contests/5567/entries/359386
http://99designs.com/contests/5567/entries/360304 - probably my favorite one thus far
    http://99designs.com/contests/5567/entries/361015

I can describe all these entries as sharp, clean, young, innovative and professional and it’s what I am looking for in my logo.

  10. Wize,
I actually liked yours a lot and was considering it but what's with the tude??? You asked for feedback and I gave it to everyone. I can't individually give 90 entries feedback and I had none for your submission, I liked it the way it is. Before you start working on making logo's you should start working on taking constructive criticism. The reason I am not making my logo is because I don't want to have a simple logo that I made myself in two minuets on paint with simply a font and a color. I want something simple but unique, that I couldn't make myself, that's eye popping... Sorry to hear you dropped out, that sux, I would have liked to see another entry from you...

  11. AD, I have asked for feedback coz the guys above. It was look funny to me how they asked for that with one simple word & few `serious` question marks (that`s why is smile there). Anyway, i haven`t no itention to sound rude or anything. However i didn`t get any feed from you & there`s no way that i can know that you actually like what i have proposed for your logo. So, your statement how you can make a lot of these logos by yourself i took personally & that`s the reason for my post. Btw, that ain`t `constructive criticism` (for me, of course).
    Regards,
    WL

  12. Feedback gives people direction, gives an idea of your personal taste and style - before any feedback is given, people are just shooting in the dark mostly so you're only getting back what you give. The rating system is new since the last time I was here but it would seem to be an easy and quick way to give a general opinion without having to take the time to type an explanation.

  14. I didn't see the rating system, ill try to start using it... As for the one I really like, I don't care what it was made on, I am asking for a TEXT logo - even if you use paint that's fine just make it somewhat professional looking. The last few submissions have been great, more up my ally.

  15. Yeah, use MS Paint, everyone! That'll look great!

ADagan: Logos should be created in vector format to allow for the ability to resize the logo without loss of quality.

You know what this one is? This is just a copy of two or so entries from other designers...
    Take a look...

Same concept + a little spices from your favorite (i leave my entry out here).
Dozens of times i have said i won`t enter on 100 bucks contests anymore cuz these are, in most cases,
the worst contests to work on...design isn`t for everyone as well as being ch..

  18. clashmore,
Thank you for the heads up, I didn't know that. EVERYONE PLEASE MAKE YOUR LOGO IN VECTOR FORMAT. Unless you are using a program that will allow you to resize the logo without loss of quality.

  20. If you are using TTF (True Type Fonts) only, then you should be ok to develope your design using Photoshop.
TTF fonts are scalable without loss of quality. Also, work in no less than 300dpi.
If the design (logo) is for web only, then Photoshop is acceptable as long as the CH realizes the design will not be much use
for anything else i.e print etc... but that also depends on the Photoshop users experience and skill.

Saying all that, I would advise any designer to learn 'vector' tools such as Illustrator or Corel Draw.

  23. It helps to figure out what you like, if there are comments made about the other designs. This helps you eventually get what you want. I know that it would be difficult to comment on all of the designs. However if you would comment on ones that are near to what you want and those that are light years away from what you want, then it will help you get designs that will work for you.

  25. If I gave a logo a 5 stars or 4 stars i generally put feeback on the wall for that logo. If I didnt give feedback or put 3 stars or less it's what I don't want. Just click on the logo's that I gave 4 or 5 stars to and check out the feedback I gave.
