Emi, I can say one thing you lost your mind period. If you been doing this as long as I have you know the client is right and they get what they want and not what you want period. They don't pay for anything they don't want period. I think you been smoking your own stuff for far to long. Web 2.0 will not be around forever. If you went to school for graphic design you know that. This is the first time I really have to say I am glad not to be on the same page as you! Good luck on your quest on being the cliche police you'll need!

Teach me BB :D I've been doing this for way too long to debate this here. Thanks for the input.

All we need it's a little bit of creativity, just to jump out of the crowd. Pushing the limits with cliche imagery
    is not an option. ;)

Fortunatelly borzoids entry is a very good choice and a creative one so..
Congrats to both of you the CH and the designer and hope to hear from you other contests EdelFay.

    All the bests

Thanks BB for standing up for me. It was just by accident I came across this website and I think its fantastic. All the entries were very impressive and I will highly recommend this site to other people. I sent this link to a number of people and there was won logo that always got a mention. Its extremly hard to just select 1 but I only need one logo so thanks a million to all for entering!

Well Emi your last statement is worded to say that you are being persuasive when you say "Why let a contest holder decide". When you try to bend the reed to your wind all you will do is break it and not move it to your direction you want. As for web2.0 it is a trend and like all trends will be a cliche as it has already started to become. New trends will wash away it and even you will need to adapt but remember the host has the choice of what he/she wants and not you or I to tell them what they want, you can't take away a persons right to choose. I didn't miss the point but see all clearly your motive of persuasion like the other statement you said on here "so i guess i am out" yet here you still are.

Well back to the contest and enough trying to be trend enforcement police!

BB you are missing the point here. Why let a contest holder decide for a checkmark or a folder design while there are so many options.
I am not being persuasive, but there are many other better design ideas.Web 2.0 is not becoming a cliche if you know how to use it. It's the trend and it will be the future.

Well we all know web2.0 is also becoming cliche as well. Your stuff is good but you can't knock the host if the host is not interested in what you made cliche or not! ~Bob

    Thanks BB,

But this can be printed very easy.
Just because i have added some web2.0 shading, it does not mean it works in one color mode.

What i was mentioning is that : checkmarks, folders and so on are cliche. That's a fact. :)

    Cheers
