Please keep all of the random comments out of the thread and leave the critiques up to the contest holder. In the future, please send me a pm if you see messages like this so i can clean up the comments. Thanks.

I thought this was a contest, not a critique;)...It is the contest holders job to rate the entries, after all this is their contest.

"it helps to know what others think about certain designs (and your own as well)... "

i really believe it helps posting comments publically.

since we've spent the time on something, we might as well know how our entry looks in the eyes of another designer. moreover, knowing how the same person rates another entry will tell you something more about the person's perspective. i don't see the harms of publically sharing your thoughts...

if anyone cares to comment on my quick sketch -- please do so publically. you can say whatever you like; even if it's totally horrible.

Cooperative critique is always a good thing. However, my thoughts on that are, that such comments should be limited to Private Messaging. Telling someone that they have an awesome design is a goo dpublic statement but when offering constructive comments to a colleague, it makes the most sense to me to look after that privately. It's directed and specific. If it's done here and everyone is offering comments on everyone's work, then those of us interested in the comments will spend a lot of time scrolling up and down looking for comments specific to our work and trying to sequence then with responses adn what not.

Just my thoughts on that. Again, offering comments is a GREAT idea in the proper venue.
