Brief Summary

This contest is ended, the contest holder has 7 days to pick a winner or withdraw the contest.

We are a computer store that offers various services, we need a complete overhaul including new logo and website design.

Our current site is ecomputingnet.com, we are looking to create something high tech and down right amazing. We prefer HTML with no flash at this point, but we are open to suggestions. Colors can be in the blues, whites and yellows but they are NOT mandatory. Show us some ideas! this is not an ecommerce site but a more informational site with contact forms etc.... we are looking at something like www.nycomputerdoctor.com... i will supply new content as the site is being built,there should be about 15 - 20 informational pages. But we will manually fill in most of them ourselves, ONLY 7 Pages will need to be completed by the designer.

Please, we are looking to do 2 more websites after this ( one ecommerce one), and we currently have 2 websites that need constant updating. We are looking for a dependable, reliable and professional person to accomplish this project and our other website needs. We have hired multiple deadbeats in the past that unfortunately did not accommodate us. We might be picky with our sites but we always pay the agreed amounts and we are looking for someone that we can use for years to follow without a hitch.

    Am I correct in that this contest requires design and coding for 15-20 pages??

    If so, then I'm afraid that the prize on offer isn't anywhere near enough to cover the required work... this breaks down to $25 per page(yikes).(and yes I realise that it is only a couple of pages that need to be *designed* and then use one of the designs eg: internal page gets reused... nonetheless, it's all takes time to complete, particularly if you want quality work in both design and coding practices.) I'm sure that computer guys get paid much more than that per hour :-D

    The Contest Guidelines suggest $200 min. for a *one* page design/code template.

    I am really trying to help you here, not cause you any hassles, but to get the better designers/coders to submit to this contest, what I'd suggest is that you hold the contest for an entry page and an internal page (if it's different to the entry, which it generally is) and then either 'hire' the winner to complete the site as an extra, or find a coder via the "work for hire' forum at Sitepoint to complete the job for you. I'd also strongly suggest that you ask to see the quality of the coding work before you hire a particular coder.

    Sorry to say, but:

    7 * 200 = 500
    Doesn't sound right to me...

    3 * 200 = ~500
    would be more conceivable

    For $500, I'd say like the homepage and a content page coded is a good deal.

    Hi riquede, can you explain a little more by what you mean when you say 'high tech'.... what do you think that represents... may help with getting you a design that goes in the direction you want :-) Maybe a few examples of what you like/don't like.
