I keep coming back to this one because it will work well in a variety of situations as you demonstrated. Is there any chance of seeing a version with the "media player" text placed to the right, the same size as the "mc"? Maybe the word "media" could be blue while "player" is still black? I'd also be interested to see a ".com" at the end just to see how it would go.

Thanks very much. Together with the other layout of the same logo (346173) I see this as a very appealing package. I particularly like the way this logo can work in different situations including things like video watermarks (which I hadn't actually considered when I wrote the brief).

A few of our voters said they thought there were too many nested shapes (triangle, square and circle). I didn't think so myself, I thought they worked quite comfortably together even at the icon size. That's the feedback though, so this one was dropped in favour of your other design. However I do want to use the extended "media player" text we tried here with the other symbol in the same way.

This logo has been one of my favourites and I always thought it would be in the final few, although to be perfectly honest I didn't expect it to win. I was looking for a logo that made a big impact. Amongst my voters this one attracted plenty of respect but not a lot of overt enthusiasm. On the other hand I don't think a single person said they *didn't* like it, unlike the other front-runners. To some extent I went for a safe option rather than one that people either like or dislike. Call me yellow but I think it's the right decision for my needs.
This logo is beautifully simple, professional and classy. The symbol works well at any size and on any background. It's a great favicon and it also makes a good watermark. The symbol represents a media player well and could even be used as a play button or the basis for an entire skin style. The potential for animation is fair, perhaps not as good as other entries but good enough (that was never a big requirement anyway).
I think this is a superb logo - attractive, practical and versatile. I'll be very proud to put it on the product. Thanks and congratulations.

The original version of this design gets the vote, although I'd be very grateful if you could let me take this variation as well. I'd love to have both options available.
