Hi,
here is my try.
It's modern, simple and looks good in solid colors too. The "play button" is just placed in space between two waves. There are two, different color waves, because it's MULTImedial program. Feedback would be appreciated.

This is a nice alternative but I liked the way you had done the "MC" in the earlier version better. The only other change I'd like to see with this logo is to make the black triangle in the graphic solid black instead of being an outline. The two-shade black/grey effect might still fit as well. I hope that makes sense (I wish I knew all the correct terminology).

This logo had a strong showing in the final vote, in fact I think pretty much everyone said they liked it. It was described as being lively, fresh and happy while still being professional enough. Several people commented on the pleasing colors. Sorry it didn't make the final cut but it came close. Thanks for the work you put into this contest, much appreciated. All the best.
