There are a couple of visual metaphors happening in this logo. First, it looks like a flame, fire conveys a sense of energy. Second, it looks somewhat like the universal symbol for an electronic power button, and lastly, it hints to a leaf, which harks to green energy...a big media sticking point. Let me know what you think. There will also be an accompanying stationery set.

You may want to flip the logo (flame) over to see how that looks. I'd also like to see it with blue instead of green.

here is the revised logo, blue and reversed shape. Now that the shape is upside down and has a blue accent, it looks more like a very hot flame. Good revision.

We're thinking we may avoid a logo with a flame as other similar companies already use this logo.

This logo focuses on a visual metaphor for 'power'. The icon is an abstract for the power symbol found on almost every electronic device's 'on' switch.
Secondary to the power metaphor, the circular shape eludes to a clock, meaning always on time, always accurate. Circles can also mean 'full spectrum' like the full spectrum of products and services your company provides.
