Regarding design #21
Oh, I thought one could switch to the action bar and scrolling up/down would select the previous/next button. No problem, adding the actions to the menu is a quick fix.
The small tweaks are the alignment of the date & time at the top. It used to be centered, but now it's moved to the side to allow enough space for the selected menu item at the left. I've added a subtle divider line between the date & time and the icons to the right as well. Lastly, I've darkened the text color a bit to enhance readability. Small tweaks all in all.
I see you're going to have a tough time choosing a design, but if you should choose mine, I will design all icons in the same style as the two homegrown ones.

Regarding design #21
Thanks Simon for the new design and for the comments. I am not sure what is different about this version though. could you please draw my attention to the differences. I still like it. I guess you didn't catch my earlier comment about the scroll wheel. It will make your action buttons all but useless. Those actions will have to be in the menus. I also like your homegrown icons more than the open source stuff. It would be interesting to see them all of the same flavor. If you want to hold off on that I understand. will get back

Here are the other views for my design. I've made some tweaks here and there too.
The icons used are still from the open source icon pack I mentioned. If my design gets picked I can make similar icons though. The two icons at the top right are made by me, so they would be in the same style.
I'm holding off designing the icons because it is very time consuming and it would be quite painful if they wouldn't get used in the end. I'm sure you understand.

Hi,
Thanks for the feedback! It's good to hear I'm on track. I'll get to work on the other views tomorrow morning.
Only the battery & wireless icons are original work. The others are from an open source icon pack. If you prefer I can always replace those with custom designs, in the same style as the 2 custom icons.

Hey Simon,
I like where you are going with this. like the color schemes. like the fonts and the icons on the banner. Question for you. need to ensure that the icons are your original work. can you confirm that? Also, maybe it would help you with other screens to know that we will be using a scrolling device so horizontal options for buttons and the like are not great for us. i also like the overlay of the menu on top of the background. A good use of space. I am looking forward to seeing more views. thanks
