Brief Summary

The logo is for the site http://www.theshortstack.co.uk. The logo would replace what is currently in the top left hand corner. The graphical element would need to be about the same size as the current poker chip (110x110) and would include the name of the site (The Short Stack) in there.

Requirements:
As far as design goes, I don't really have a picture on my head as to what the final logo will be, but I've found a few logos that I like the look of and posted them up at http://www.theshortstack.co.uk/about-poker/logos.
I think the main things I like are logos that are simple and clean, yet sharp and professional. I'm not a big fan of anything that's too cluttered and it would be nice (but by no means essential!) if I could use the logo as a favicon for the site.

I particularly like the outline of the cards in the second logo and the subtle gradients on the text in the first greenseek logo. And overall the King of Clubs logo is probably my favourite as it's clean, compact and sums the website up really well.

Text:
Some reference to the name of the site needs to be included in the dimensions above. Whether that's the actual name (The Short Stack), 2 S's or something else is completely up to you.

I'm currently decided whether I'll be including the tag line as part of the logo or whether I'm just going to have it as HTML content next to the logo. It depends how it looks.

For the time being, the tag line can certainly be included in the logo design (the width of the logo will obviously need to be changed), but it will need to be put to the right of the main logo.

Colours:
The only colour I'd like in there is red. It doesn't have to be the exact same shade as is currently used on the website.

Similarly, I know there is some blue in the website at the moment, but if you find a better secondary colour, then please go ahead and use it.

Basically, I'm happy to change the colours of the site to match a well designed logo.

Feedback:
I have constant access to the internet and email throughout the day, so I will be able to offer timely feedback on all designs submitted. This is the first contest, I've help so if you require any more information, please let me know.
If you need anything else at all, please feel free to let me know.
Selection:
The wining logo will be chosen after 10 days. If a suitable logo isn't found, then a winner won't be chosen ... but having seem the logos being designed in other contests, I doubt that will be a problem!
