Regarding design #38
We really like this design. The content section is well done. There is a lot of potential for this design. A few changes and improvements that we'd love to see.
*) Make the navigation text a little bit bigger. Seems a bit small relative to the whole nav bar.
*) Make the background a simple plain background color. Currently, the background has two main colors (lighter 'green/blue' and darker 'green/blue'). Pick one that you like.. Probably the dark one might be better since it fits with your current footer.
*) Can you enhance the login form? It seems a bit plain and generic at the moment.
The main part we'd like to see change is really the header. We'd like to see several changes for the header:
*) crop the header in half, literally. We think that you can move the whole design up if you cut half of the nav header. Just imagine using your marquee tool, select the top half of the header, and press delete. Once you move this thing up, it should look like the cropped half of the header is hidden above. A good example for this can be seen at grandcentral.com. When you go to their website and press on the "Login" button, the login form will drop down. Notice how it feels like the form is cut in half? That's what we mean.
*) Change the background color of the header. Currently it's light blue, which I think doesn't really fit in well with all the other colors. I think a good way is to make it a gradient. The bottom of the header (and the gradient) will be the same blue color that you used as the background for the "5 for 5". The top of the header will be a lighter shade of blue (possibly the same light blue that you have right now). The gradient will go from the bottom dark blue to the top lighter blue. There should be more dark blue than light blue.
*) With the header cut in half, you won't have as much space to work with, so move the logo next to the mypostalmail name and slogan. This is similar to what the other entries have done.
*) With the gradient, you might have to change the logo's blue color to something that will pop out more. You might also have to enlarge the logo so that it will fit better.
