I think this has a really great layout, especially the good use of ad space.
Anyways, we've decided to end the contest early and have chosen another designer as the winner.

Hello,
Thank you for the entry.
I like the dark red color and the textures beneath the images a lot.
- We need a banner ad somewhere near the top, probably below the menu and above the newest members.
- I don't really like the diagnol "join here".. maybe move that to the right of the menu bar -
