    This is a really nice entry, but we had to end the contest early, and decided to go with another design.

    Regarding design #9

    I like the layout a lot. Especially how the "featured Artist" is the first thing you are drawn to.
    I don't love the color scheme though. I think it's a little too hard on the eyes or something.

    - I think the featured artists and newest artists should take the full width and the side bar stuff should be below that.

    Page is 980px in width - wider than your current page. But it is good for monitors 1024x786 and gives more space.
    Artists first - than banner. This is why it is in the middle of the page but visible without scrolling.
    Some variations in layout are possible. I need you feedback about idea, colors and overall view to continue or may be start different.
