It doesn't fit the theme. Is a good design but is not what am looking for. You need a totally new direction.

Regarding design #8
The motive of the bookstore is to do something positive for the inmates. So promoting violence is not an option, the handcuffs are not appropriate. if the logo relates to prison it should be in a positive matter, promoting knowledge and freedom. I apologies for not specifying this from the beginning.
