    Wow, there are some nice ones out there. Some of you came up with a look I had not thought of yet.

    The best looking monkey of the bunch so far is MethodKid.

    The best use of colors in the bunch so far is Candyman99.

    The best use of the layout of the logo is Scathmere.

    The best use of the fonts is AusScreen (lower version).

    I have commented on each of them to help you find some direction with your designs. Keep up the terrific work, not a bad start for the first day.

    Understanding how I am scoring your entries,

    1 star - flat, not much appeal, I need more pop! more wow! something to catch my eye. There is something there.
    2 stars - Your design has at least 1 thing I like about it, see comments on your design about it.
    3 stars - Your design has at least 2 things I like about it, see comments on your design about it.
    4 stars - Your design has at least 3 things I like about it, take it and elaborate on it, see comments.
    5 stars - Your design is a serious contender, see if you can enter a new design to compete with it.

    No stars doesn't mean anything unless I have looked at it and commented on it.

    Just had a thought, I would like to see what your logo would look like against a dark background like black, blue, green. It would certainly help in the future when I decide on a redesign for my website. So seeing your design against different colors would give me more "bananas for thought".

    Wow, it's barely a day and I am already seeing terrific "tune ups" by methodkid and candyman99. I have been providing them with feedback everyone, be sure to check your feedback because I will be giving them. The better the tuneup, the more the stars you can get into contention.

    Wow, I appreciate all your efforts taking my feedback into consideration. If you have noticed some of your entries getting 2 stars and others have 3, take the hint, you are closer to a 4 star with your 3 star than a 2 star.

    If you have only just entered and have a 2 star, no worries, it means you are off to the a good start.

    All right, I am getting off the net for the night. Remember there's plenty of days left so take a breather if you need to come back with a fresh look at your design.

    Phew, we got some serious contenders and more arriving by the day. A lot of you are getting better and better by each feedback. Getting very creative and original here. I already have had a couple of my readers look at your designs and they are blown away by the quality of your work here.

    Seeing your design on different color background is a huge plus and will be useful in getting the 5th star when it comes to the final round in a few days.

    Whew! 6 or 7 days left, I need to look at the countdown but yall sure making it even better. You are starting to pick up on what I like and building with it so keep running with your best one and take the feedbacks into your style. Each of you have a unique style and that is great, makes it for a fresh looking approach.

    Hoo! Five days left to go. I am a wee bit sad at the 1/2 way point because I am thoroughly enjoying this contest as much as you are with your designs.
