Regarding design #10
We like the design. What happens with the different resolutions, does it scale to match or is it a fixed width (in which case, what width)? If this is the main page, do the other pages also have the same layout or is it a simplified version but using the same colours and style?
One problem I can see is the that menu (number of choices) dictates the height of the photo. If we add more choices, then we would have to adjust the photo or photos as well. But I like the idea of putting in a large photo. I was thinking that we can put in nice photos of the tallships there, because they are beautiful elegant ships so it's a perfect place to show them off.
I understand about the logo and it's fine. We look forward to your logo as well.

Here are my Answers Regarding your Questions on the previous Designs I made
*What happens with the different resolutions*
-Kindly See the screen shot attached I am A Css professional coder thats mean i can make the site background fit on any screen resolution for the width and fix the screen resolution on the height kindly visit http://www.portcolbornepwds.com/ which was a site I design and coded that has a background.

This will be no problem I can code you a drop down AJAX/JAVA SCRIPT / CSS menu that will come out showing the rest of your choices Like a category and sub category OR the important links on top then the last button will be a " MORE > " button that will Show the rest of your choices for better demo Kindly visit http://tankconfrp-com.si-sv2028.com/2007/index.php and mouse over the models Choice on the Navigation menu I have Designed and coded this site.

if you want luxury web site that can fit on the captain cabinet wall as well as fit well online you may consider the attached :) I mark it as sample as it toke me a long time to do the details. BTW do you offer your service in Greece only ? as i included the Greece map on the footer that can be a link that take you to more details about training or services. Feed back will be appreciated

Hi and thanks for your detailed response. I am not worried about whether the layout is capable of resizing or fitting in to the different screen resolutions, I know css can do this. What I wanted to know is whether your layout is a percentage of the screen width (e.g. 80% so that it doesn't matter if the screen resolution is 800x600 or 1280x800, it will always occupy 80% of the screen width) or whether it has a fixed width and is simply centered. From your latest submissions I see that it is the second of the two.
One thing I don't want is to make a very heavy site. Special effects are nice, but people will be using the site to get information and I need it to be available quickly. Special effects are nice the first time you see them, but can become annoying if they make you have to wait for the pages to load. I think the large pictures of tallships, similar to the ones you've used are good, but anything else has to be lightweight.
In any case, I like the design so don't submit any more variations for the same layout.
Unfortunately, with the logo, I can't tell you which layout I like (I see you have entered a new layout as well), and I also don't think it should be based on the layout design. That would mean that once we have them both, we could not change either one in the future. The other consideration is that we may choose another designer's logo.

as for the back ground it will be centered and fixed
as for the special effect it is all up to you but I can code the sliding effect so it show the second screenshot once it loads ie. the visitor will see all the content of the site and start reading the content for example and the top image will load on the back ground without affecting his browsing / reading or what he is doing and once it loads it will update the header :) that's how i made it in here

Regarding design #31
I like the page design, and unless I've missed something, the following designs which are variations of this one that you've submitted, simply have a different main picture, maybe some different text (I'm not including the one with the Sample watermark). So the layout is ok and the colours are good as well. I don't think there's any need to do anything more with this design. Also, don't pay any attention to the 3 star rating I've given your design. It doesn't mean I think it's average, quite the opposite, but I still have to allow room either way for any other designs that come in.

This is a nice logo but, the pink circular design is irrelevant, and the sail reminds me more of sailing yachts not tall ships which have the square sails.

Again, we want to show tallships, think of pirate ships. This goes back to the days of ancient Greece.

Very clever use of the flag, but it needs to indicate tallships, square sails.

There were around 5 elements we wanted to incorporate into the logo, tallships, Greek flag, young people, sea and sun. If not all, at least 3 of those should be in there or implied. The design is nice but doesn't portray tallships.

This is getting closer. I'm not thrilled with the font and for the sun, I would prefer a plain yellow circle (semi-circle as it shows from behind the sails). In any case, we have now narrowed it down to 3 logo designs and yours were not included. Thanks for the effort.
