Our company brings consumers interested in insurance to our website via search engine marketing with the primary goal of having them complete a request for an insurance quote. We will award two prizes. We will then test the winning entries verses our current site to see if we have improved the conversion rate for our traffic.

We want everyone to know how much we appreciate your hard work, and fantastic designs. We're getting into the final 24 hours of this contest, and will be choosing the winners. Please make your final entries before the contest closes out.
At this point, we're thinking that we will have more than just first and second place. Any third, fourth, etc, winners will receive at least the SitePoint minimum award - which will extend the total contest prizes beyond the $1,000 we originally planned. Please remember, $600 goes to first place, $400 goes to second.

Just wanted to clarify a couple of things on my last general post:
• The text for the 1-2-3 steps only applies to designers that have opted to use the 1-2-3 step process. This is not mandatory for the contest, and it is fine that some designers have opted to not use the 3 step process.
• Also, on the link to the example of what we like (https://autoins2.progressivedirect.…uage=EN-US), the specific element we like on that link is the box on the right that has the "Accurate Quotes…Privacy Protection…Information Protection" (the calculator does not apply to us). This is an element that gives consumers confidence in filling out our form. Hence we thought it would be good for you all to see in order to spark some ideas.

First, I have some exciting news: We will be awarding more than 2 prizes!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------We just had a meeting to review all the exciting progress over the weekend. I want to thank all the designers for submitting entries, the team was impressed with all the submissions. Given the progress we have seen and our desire to test multiple offers we are going to be awarding additional prizes. I wanted to summarize our findings here and provide some guidance for the home stretch:
• Given our desire to test these designs we will offer additional prizes (Amount to be determined) to any design that we like and meets the contest submission guidelines. (Valid entries must have a form page and a home page)
• Entries will be judged foremost on their form page entry (60%), home page entry (40%)
• Given the importance of the form page to the contest, the designers should focus on that page as the greatest contributor to the design
• I want to stress to you how important the form page is as it is our main conversion page.
• The page and form need to scream of simple and secure.
• In the discussion, we came up with a better step
1. Complete one quick form
2. Compare free quotes
3. Choose the best plan
• In regards to the form fields, please provide a simple, tight, and clean representation.
• Have a fairly prominent padlock image with text that says "Your Privacy and Security are Protected" placed near where they begin filling out the form (or even in the form).

All contestants,
Thank you all for your excellent entries. I wanted to point something out in regards to the main form page that I think will help clarify some things for all of you.
For most consumers, the first page they will see on our site is the main form page (as opposed to the home page). The reason for this is that most will land there straight from the search engines (few people directly type in our main URL). As such, the elements (insurance carrier logos, trust symbols, graphics for simple process to get multiple quotes, etc.) used to convince consumers to fill out the form need to be clearly visible, preferably without having to scroll down on the page.
Some people may click away from the main form page to get more info on a content page (the 3rd design page needed for this contest), but we hope that most will just fill out the form without clicking away. And for those that do click away to either the home page or another content page, we want to provide the basic info needed and a miniform that drives them back to the main form page.
Hopefully this clarifies some things for all of you. If you are unclear about any of this, feel free to ask questions.

The contest is going great! With the US Holiday on Monday and Tuesday, We wanted to extend the deadline for the contest rather than rush it's completion or not consider promising entries that have yet to submit form designs.
