  5. Based on the first few entries, I thought I would say the following:

    Keep the text to a bare minimum - just a tag line and my web address. Don't worry too much about including my logo unless it fits in well with your design.

    I would prefer just one striking image rather than lots of little images.

    I would like an original out of border image - I know I can get an out of border image from a stock library but the main challenge of this contest is for you to create an original out of border image. Of course you can use a photo from a stock library as your starting point.

  8. Some great designs so far!

    Please really emphasise the "out of frame" effect - some of the designs are too subtle!

  9. Hi all

    First of all thanks for the fantastic entries to my contest - I really love the out of border effect and there have been some great examples here.

    Due to the need to deliver some artwork for a magazine I have closed the contest a wee bit early - sorry about that and I hope nobody has wasted time working on an entry that hasn't been submitted yet. If they are and it doesnt break the rules, then I would be interested in seeing it as there is certainly no harm in having more than one advert design.

    Anyway congrats to zand for a delightful design - it fits well with my business which is located in the countryside. And a special thanks to marekcarey for all the hard work on the various designs - it was pretty close with that last design.
