  4. Hi Everyone. Thank you all for your entries. I'm very impressed with the quality of entries so far.

    I mentioned in the brief that there would be a possibility of including a character in the logo. To date not many have explored this possibility.

    I'm thinking that maybe someone could try a design with perhaps an Owl or Fox or an Einstien type character. Anything that represents the high IQ nature of the site. Just remember that any characters must be original work.

  5. Thank you for taking on the character concept. I'd just like to say that if including a character it needs to have personality and charisma. I'd also like it to be friendly and confident. It does not need to be any of the ideas above. It could as easily be a professor type with wild hair, whatever you want. This is licence to use some flair.

    I'm trying to keep up with feedback to all entrys so feel free to take on board what I've said to others.

    Again, thanks for the entries. Keep them coming. There are some very strong contenders there, many of which are capable of winning. However I have a feeling that I haven't seen the final winner yet.

  6. Just like to say that the Owl and Fox concepts have been explored enough at this stage and I'm looking for fresh ideas. In the original brief I purposely did not mention any particular characters as I didn't want to lead anyone down a particular path. On one hand it is the job of designers to interpert a brief but that will only ever make average designers. The truly great designer will come up with a concept that the client himself hadn't even thought of.

    I guess what I'm trying to say here is that I don't need 10 different variations of owls or foxes. the ones that have been submitted so far are excellent (see the ones rated 5 stars). The best chance for someone entering at this stage is to come up with a fresh concept with regard to the character.

    One last thing. Be sure that you have all read the guidelines for contest holders. Particularly regarding the submission of copyright material. All shortlisted entries will be asked to confirm that their work is 100% original before final consideration.

    Thanks for all your hard work. Considering the effort you are putting into this contest the least I can do is evaluate all the entries I get.

  9. I posted two logos and they do not show up. I tried again and they still do not show. The contest is in my control panel but the entries arent showing on my screen. I have pm'd you a link to my entries and i will try again tomorrow to get them in the contest but i will be working during the deadline.. I have never run in to this problem before?

  13. Hi Folks,
    Just want to let you all know that This contest is now closed to new entries. I am aware that the site was having problems recently and I did access all new entries prior to assembling the shortlist. I have now notified all designers who made the shortlist. All entries were of an extremely high standard and to narrow it down was extremely difficult. To pick a winner will be even more so. I hope to announce the winner in the next week.

  19. Just to keep you all up to date I have had a meeting with my designers and we have narrowed the shortlist down to two entries. They are working with both at the moment and we will select a winner based on which one works best with the site. Thank you all for your patience. The final shortlist has been difficult to narrow down as all the entries on it were of such high quality.
