Brief Summary

Please do not submit any new template. I have already forwarded the following 6 templates to the client and waiting for his feedback. Thanks.

Also, I have increased the contest duration to maximum, since I will have to wait for client's feedback, there will probably be some modifications, and then we will have to make the product display page.

However, please again note that I am not accepting any more new entries. Submission of new entries is closed now, and we will work with the following six templates. Thanks.

  10. For an update, I think nicholai has given a good layout till now, while prospekt giving me a good design. I was considering another thing ... client has asked and I menitioned here about the color #009DDC, but the problem that eventually I will face in case I go with a design having the page content background of that color, is that it will be pretty difficult to add images at will, and will increase cost to make every image's background transparent perfectly, which I understand can be tricky at times.

    An idea could be to something so that images with white background can be incorporated easily (since they will change thro' the database) ... I don't know really how to make it possible, I am not a designer, but ideally, a perfect solution would be a site that's visually pleasing, good design, good layout, the color #009DDC and in such a way that changing images with white background becomes easy ... hmmm ... probably you designers will know better than me ... :)

  13. Just to make another update for the homepage in case I haven't been clear till now for some people.

    This is a website for a new business that will present their services and products through their website. Services are - Serigraphy, Embroidery, and custimized printing on office materials (pen, diary, mousepad, etc.)

    Using their services, serigraphy and embroidery, they produce tshirts, caps, etc. to sell them to shops. They want to make a show case of those products. So, that's it.

    Need a homepage that will be visually pleasing, will include the color #009DDC, and give an overview of services and products in the home page. The product images of the home page will be managed by php and mysql, and hence will change frequently.

    1. The design is clean.
    2. It will be very easy for me to change photos (not much background removing, etc.).
    3. It's very relevant, photos can be changed and it indeed gives a nutshell of the whole thing, visually.
    4. The blue is there (it's not the right blue that I want, but this is a minor issue).

    Of course, it lacks the charishma what ggaston's chocolate or nazri's golf site is having in http://www.kigoobe.com/offshoring/sitepoint/ ... but this design can nevertheless can make a good website.

    Anyway, I have a few days left and let's see what else comes up. Thanks to all who are participating. I will keep you updated, and when at the end will declare a winner, will try to explain why I have chosen that person over others. :)

  20. I received works of 4 designers today. V_C, shyice, darecar and nadia. All are very good. It seems that there is a problem reversal now ... I have too many good stuffs now to choose from. Wondering, should I make the next contest for 4 days only? :)

  21. I think by tomorrow sometime I will select some 4 designers, and will ask them for some common stuffs like small tweaks and then will request them to give the page for product display (the 2nd page should be similar to the product page minus the products, I believe). Nice, sitepoint rocks :)

    One reason why I didn't want all the pages from the beginning as I didn't want everybody to do a lot of work, in case I do not like their design. Now it seems that I am having 4 good guys / gals to ask for the next step, and in case nothing better arrives till tomorrow half day, I think I know already who are my 4 diamonds. :)

  24. OK guys ... I have a few entries now at the top ... I will contact the client tomorrow morning (monday) with those which are not faded, and depending on what he is telling, I will ask you guys to make the product display page. I thought it is better this way as I don't want guys to do extra work if their design is not selected. That's one reason why I was fading out so many designs as well.

  27. Hi guys ... just I wanted to give an update here. Client is taking time to decide. At this moment, as it is appearing to me, they have liked the way V_C has presented the logo and the graphic table, but for the overall presentaion, they thought Nadia's work is much better. So probably we will go with Nadia finally, though the last word is yet to come. For the 4 others, client hasn't showed any interest, as it stands now.

  28. update ... I haven't listened back from the client yet. Tomorrow is Friday and then we have weekend here when offices are closed. I will wait till Monday afternoon and if by then I haven't listed any feedback from the client about what to choose, I am thinking to declare Nadia as the winner of this contest since the client shown their interest in her template last time, with a request to her to do me the favor to change some details when the client will get back to me later.

  32. Well guys. Sorry about the delayed reply. The client has not yet get back to me ... don't understand why they have started to play hide and seek since I have shown them the templates. Probably they are too busy at this moment, probably this is the big french strike that has paralyzed the transport system of Paris recently, or probably they are having a tough time themselves deciding what they want exactly ... and as you guys can see there are works left like making the product display page and one general page.

    However, since I have to respect the time (and I am already late), I have no other way then to declare a winner here. And since last time it was Nadia's work where they shown interest, I am declaring Nadia as the winner here. Sorry for the trouble and thanks to everyone who invested their precious time to develop the templates for me.

    I will be holding other contests in the future, and will hope they will go as per the SP schedule (they will be for different clients, so ...). Thanks again to everyone who submitted their works, and sorry for those whose work was in the selected 6 but haven't win the contest. I am obliged to choose 'only' one, since this is a contest.
