Brief Summary

Need a logo with simple bold one-color graphic for an institutional real estate investment firm, Pinewell Capital. This corporate identity needs to convey financial strength, stability, and confidence.

I would like to use a forest green for the logo, black for lettering. One idea I have is to use a stylized form of Japanese kanji for "i", which means "well". It looks like a tic-tac-toe grid.

Thanks for the input, Bob. It's more for me than for any target audience. Owner's prerogative. ;-)

It's interesting to want to use this Kanji above others when you might have your target audience be confused and mistakenly take the Kanji symbol as a pound symbol. I'm sure your clients are Japanese savvy and know the symbol if not you might want to think about it some more.

The entry by lin73 shows the actual kanji character. It literally means well - like a water well. I want something much more stylized, so that it isn't an obvious kanji. I don't want it to look "ethnic."

The japanese kanji that I looked up with the tic-tac-toe look has the meaning of "a well". I am asking so I can clarify your intent to using it in the logo. Do you want it to tie into the name of Pinewell? Or do you want it to be a symbol of your financial 'well'ness?
