I know this doesn't represent any food or anything, but I went with something generic that can be used with any product you may have now and in the future.
I thought it looked classy, with a modern twist to it.

I agree, it has a modern feel to it. And i love the colour combo. I think, though that it needs more old-school sophistication. More scripty with the fonts. More old-school italian-looking maybe.

Yes. This is great. I love the font and colour combinations. You're on the right track. Don't worry about submitting more variations on this theme as i think this is perfect as is. It will all come down to what the other partners have to say. I'm all for this one, though.

I think - lose the symbol. Looks best with just the font - simple and classy. Very gourmet-food style logo. Looks good.

This logo is the one likely to win our contest - everyone loves it. Is it possible to see a few more variations on the theme. A dark watermelon colour and some kind of symbol if you can think of one. There is one entry that's orange and red and looks like two simplified scoops of gelato with black text underneath. Is it possible to replicate a similar design using their concept with the scoops or is that cheating? I like the scoops idea (like a simplified symbol for gelato i suppose) but definately do not change the text you have now. Also lose the tagline as we don't really need one right now and will come up with something later.

This one is quite good. Very raw, with a handmade sortof feel to it. The main things that myself and the partners were taken with by the previous logo however was the colour combo of the carcoal and then a brighter colour. I played around in photoshop with the hues and thought that a dark watermelon colour would be good with the charcoal. I don't know how you would incorporate those two colours with this symbol, though. It would be excelelnt if you could.

This one is also quite good. We were all thinking that somehow a more italian feel should be incorporated into the design, but i'm not sure how you would do that. You can't just stick an italian flag somewhere in it and the green, red and white colours aren't really what we want. I think the italian feel will need to simply be incorporated into the collateral material like stationery and advertising things, unless of course you can think of something there.
