Love love love it. The colors are really fantastic. Very professional and clean. Very 2.0.
Love the logo- great tomato. Love the star of david in the "o". Maybe play around with the fonts of the logo? Present a couple other options?
We're thinking of taking out the blog section and just adding it as a small link to the bottom, since the chef won't have a bunch of time to keep up with the blog writing. In that case, could you replace the blog tab and link with "Classes"? We want to list her current class schedule and have a link to sign up for the classes.
Thanks for the great entry!
Can you move the sign up for newsletter section more toward the top of the page? It doesn't have to have such a large area of space, but it should be closer to the top of the page.
Maybe play with the titles SERVICES & VIDEOS? Maybe create more of an attachment with their respective sections? I think the services should stand out more, as that is how she will be making money...
I have the actual image of Sam, in case you wanted to play with the background (I know the current color is limiting)

Thanks for the feedbk.
Glad you like the vectors - I did a cake pan graphic as well but it's not as strong - will try some others to beef-up Services/Videos.
Revisions by tomorrow night if all goes well ;-)

Hi -
Just some small changes & requests done ;-)
Not sure what you're looking for in the logo
font[s], so limited tweaks there - please let
me know if closer or farther off & thanks,

NOTES FROM SAM:
- Change the script for Chef Samantha Garelick in the logo, still use a script or handwriting font (maybe give us a few options)
- Try one more color as a background in the photo, maybe a pale blue of some kind
- I don't think I like the peach bar all the way to the right, extend the green of the top navigation bar and the bottom navigation bar indefinitely.
- the webaddress at the top is too small and difficult to read, it should be in yellow or something and it's not lighted up with the rest of the navigation bar
- The picture of me is not really anchored correctly, either it should line up with the logo better or there should be equal space on top or bottom of the picture
-***** Major Note***** In general the bottom half of the page should be more organized, take a look at the page done by Jepoypalaboy, I like how it's clearly organized better and easier on the eye
- I like how the top and bottom of the page have softer lines and boxes, the three boxes in the middle don't fit with their sharp corners
- I don't like the buttons in the right box, they are too heavy for the site, play around with them and give me something softer, maybe use the same scripty font from chef samantha garelick
- I don't like the scroll bar, maybe just a soft arrow pointing down to show there is more
- The fonts have to be more consistent - we can chose a few different fonts and types to work with. If logo is all lowercase maybe more things should be all lowercase....just an idea
- The word classes in the right box is just floating there
- what other little graphics can we play with, what about actual images of a spatula or frying pan or something

Hi -
Sorry to hear that you're no longer keen
on the original design; but here's an alternate
take.
Let me know if the right direction & thanks,
El

Hey El-
Can we set up a time to speak on the phone with you, me and sam? Where are you located? We are in Los Angeles. Or if it is easier, we can set up an AIM chat.

Hi -
That's good news!
Not sure if I can setup a 3-way conversation - and I can't send you a message, as your Private Messages are turned-off. I'd be happy to send you my e-mail and phone, but would need you to pm me & I'll reply w/ the info.
Thanks,
El
