Regarding design #71
Right. That's why I got all positive feedback about the symbol (the symbol that you say it's similar to is the "highly combustible" hazard sign (http://www.bbc.co.uk/schools/gcsebi…hem_22.gif), which I actually think would've worked perfectly in this case) until post-contest when there was nothing I could do or say about it and you ended up picking the Leo astrological symbol instead. Okay, well--thanks for the opportunity.

Regarding design #71
We had a good look at these variations, and preferred numbers 4 and 5. In the end we had to go with another design. The icon in this design felt a bit like a hazard symbol. When we showed it around the office, people couldn't get past that. Thanks for your efforts.

1 -- Retro, somewhat 50's font that they used as a font on the backs of LP's/vinyl. Quite nice to my eyes, which is why I put it on top.
2 -- Strong/straight-forward, uniform font.
3 -- Something that goes along with the Road Sign Theme; the actual road sign/highway font didn't quite work well, and this one is more uniform than the one I had.
4 -- 80's. Don't know if you want to go that route, but it's there if you want it.
5 -- Thin, uniform, sleek. I think it's the same weight of the outline around the fire (or about so).
And just for fun, the greyed out one is in a Dick Van Dyke-titling like font. ;D
I've got thousands of fonts, so...and I tried that one you liked in its small letter form but the letters just didn't look as good as they did in caps (see above subs, the caps are pretty, the smalls are not). If you'd like a collegiate/campus-like one in small letters I can see what I can do there, too...I'd love to work with you on this. Just let me know. :)

I'm still looking for a good small letter font, but for now, here are some color tests/variations. I liked the top on the best and that's why I put it up there (I dunno why, I guess that green appealed to me). But I also looked up the colors of your road signs...heh...how many colors do you ultimately want to go with?

I like top row middle, very campus. What about something in lower case? I'd also like to see the colours simplified - so far the best thing we've seen is the b&w banner layout. We'll be making a decision very soon. Thanks for all the effort.
