Brief Summary

The idea for the name Starfish Revenue Management comes from our company structure--an open network of medical billers, coders, collection specialists, customer service agents, etc. Starfish, you may recall from high-school biology, essentially have a decentralized organic system. This decentralization feature is what inspired our Starfish name as it reflects our corporate structure.

Mine was buried too, if it's not too late to take a look.

Thank you Steve and Dean... your sentiments about the bugginess of Sitepoint's beta version is right on. They need to make the revisions/submissions in reverse chronological order like it was before. Nevertheless, I've taken a look at both of your submissions.

I have reflected on the total man hours put into this single contest and it's egregiously high. It makes me wonder about the global human efficiency of it all. I feel wasteful. Towards that end, if everyone could hold up on making any further submissions (thereby stopping the hemorrhage of human effort) until I get caught up, I'd be obliged. We're going to close the contest in a few hours.

    Thanks everyone.

There's at least one recent entry (mine, lol) that got buried quite a ways back (buggy new beta UI I guess) and may have been missed. Hoping for a look and some feedback. Cheers.

Open to Western Union. Don't know much about them but totally open if the winning contestant desires that mode.

On another note, I think we're about to make an early decision. There are so many friggin' incredible designs that it's going to be agonizing to decide. So, if everyone could please hold on submitting any more designs right now. I'll keep everyone posted shortly.

It's 7pm in Tampa, Florida, USA. You have all performed exceptionally well. I gotta take a break from the feedback until tomorrow evening.

I will be back online checking for submission tomorrow early evening. By then, my partners will be back in town and I will share with them your work. In the meantime, enjoy your evening.

Just wanted to note a few general items:

    (1) We shortened the contest to an end-date/time of Wednesday PM. Your hard work deserves a quick response and we'd like to keep the positive momentum going.

    (2) The feedback I've provided to any given designer was also written to everyone else as well. If new designers (or ones already in the works) pay careful attention to this feedback, they will receive critical clues that will help accelerate their designs to my short list of top contenders.

    (3) I appreciate all of your efforts. This contest was step 1. Step 2 is to incorporate the winning logo onto business cards, stationery, and eventually to a website. As a way of rewarding those top designers not winning this contest, I am considering awarding the remaining work to the other contenders directly, depending on your skills and interests. So, let's keep in touch.

    Thanks again!
