That's understandable, but you might attract more contestants if you offer more than the bare minimum.

Actually, the coding part is not all that important. It is my intent to possibly hire the designer to create the whole website when the contest is over anyway.

Thanks for clarifying - still stand by my point that the prize offer is too little for a coded site - particularly if you wanted it to be coded correctly to xhtml/css standards ;-)

    Good luck with the contest

You make a good point. I was just trying to give some really clear instructions that could easily be followed. Perhaps I went too far. Point taken.

My intention is that people still come up with an initial concept. At least now you get an idea of what I like and dislike =)

PS: I have no intention of using any of the actual "information" on that site. It's actually a totally different concept.

In your brief you keep saying 'template'. To me it looks like a live website, not a 'template' per se. Is it one of your sites, if not, then it's basically copying someone elses work no ?? - even though you want to change things around. In addition, I don't believe the offering is indicative of the work that needs to be done to complete your brief. You need to remember, that the initial concept needs to be created and then coded.

I am just looking for people to create a one page website following the specifications stated in my Complete Brief above.
